Welcome to As You Like It Challenge
Our fortnightly challenge is a home for you to create something
which gives you a warm "inner glow" of pride, without lots of entry rules.
Usually we provide options for you to choose from.
You just need to select and use your favourite option in order to join in.
For a chance to win our prize or top-3 spot,
you need to tell us why you've made your choice.
That way our team and readers can appreciate why it's your favourite.
eg, if the theme is 'favourite animal' and you decide on 'bunny', tell us why.
eg, you love Thumper, the rabbit from Bambi !
So get crafting and remember to have fun
and enjoy your crafting time.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite Stencil or Freestyle background (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.
Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:
I really like using stencils. There are so many wonderful designs available and they are so versatile.
I love to make my own freestyle backgrounds, that would be my favourite.
My go to stencil is clouds. I love how they can be added to any image to create depth and interest.
I have lots of stencils and love using them. Most of the times I use them to make clouds on a card, but for these images I had to use stencils to make ink splotches. They are so perfect combined with the stamps I used.
I very rarely make inky backgrounds as, when I do have an attempt, I am never happy with the final result so I have gone with a stencil for this challenge. I have used paste through the stencil and then used green and yellow inks when dry.
I am probably not alone when I say this, I do have stencils in my crafty arsenal but just don't ever get the inspiration to use them so this theme was a kick up the butt!! On closer inspection I have rather more than I thought but played safe with an Echo Park 6x6 festive stencil. Once I got going it was actually a lot of fun and I was really pleased with the result!!
My stencil collection has been slowly growing over the past couple of years, and now, get me, I'm stencilling through stencils!!
Stencils for me. I have a lot a stencils and when I went through them I found this gorgeous 'cow spots' stencil and I knew I had the perfect stamp to match. I love cows.
