you need to tell us why you've made your choice.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite Critter or People (image-wise, no comment on the real thing!!!) (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I've opted for critters as I much prefer colouring fur than hair, and I adore the cuteness of the images.  I've used an adorable Pingu which is one of my favourite winter themed critters too.

I love both (and managed to include a cute little critter) but for purposes of this challenge I'll go with people as my favourite. I find critter fur very difficult to colour. I still struggle with hair, but if you pick the right image, that won't be an issue.

Critters or people, has to be critters and my cat comes to mind sitting on the fence looking up at the bats..can you see her?

I think for me it is Critters. I much prefer colouring animals. People can be rathers tricky to get the tones correct and look natural. Cuddly animals can look good in all sorts of colours.

On my cards I love critters!! They are cute and fun to colour. I don't like colouring hair, so I don't often use people images on my cards.

I don't mind colouring people sometimes, but critters are definitely easier and there's such a variety of cute ones too.

No brainer...critters for me!! I love all things cute and furry, and they are so much easier to colour than hair on a person!!

I love critters on my makes, but there are times when I really like people too, especially if  I can find an image that is just right for the recipient, like this one, which was made as a thank you for the nurses who have been looking after my dad so well.

For me it's critters. I love colouring them. I don't use images of people very much.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite Non-Card Project (& why).
It doesn't need to be a papercraft - you can share jewelry making, book-binding, yarn-craft, wood-turning, pottery or anything crafty)
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

In the last couple of years I've started to learn to crochet, and today I'm sharing my most ambitious crochet project - A Sunflower granny square bed-throw for my Mother-in-Law's birthday next week.  Sunflowers are her favourite flowers so I've made 40 of these squares and joined them into a throw with a border and fleece lining.  After the first dozen or so squares I think I could've made them in my sleep but I was so pleased with the end result that I struggled to part with it!

I dabble in all sorts of crafts, but recently making junk journals has been a real passion.  I love the feeling of taking trash to treasure.  The cover on this journal was made from a paper towel roll.

I'm not clever enough to really make anything but a card, but I do like to decorate stuff and I love birdhouses and birds, so in my happy place with this project..

As a child I was lucky to have a mum and grandmother who taught me how to embroider, knit and crochet. I love being able to make handmade gifts for my family so here are the Christmas Stockings I have made for my Grandchildren.

As a big fan of papercrafting, I really love making personal gift for friends and family. I love that I am able to make the perfect box and decoration for a person. This way it is extra special to give a little present.

I like to make Christmas decorations to bring out each year and this box frame has been hanging around the craft room for ages so I thought I would do something with it.

My crafty journey started with cross stitch and since then I have tried my hand at pretty much most crafts. This clock started life as a kit that was a Birthday gift and my first attempt at embroidery. It was a really enjoyable process and it now hangs proudly on my living room wall.

If I'm not papercrafting, I'm playing with woolly balls - very much a beginner at crochet, and most definitely not the quickest hooker in the world, but it keeps my hands busy while I'm watching tv and it's possible someone will get something warm at the end of it.  This one is for me, very much a work in progress, an oversized wrap.  Four balls in, four to go.

A good friend of mine asked if I could write a blackboard with a recipe for her kitchen. Years ago I took a course in caligraphy/hand lettering and nowadays it is hot again. Writing and drawing on a chalkboard was quite a challenge, but I was satisfied. And she is very happy with it.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
