This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite Christmas Sentiment (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Our first Challenge of 2022 be the first Thursday in January, as the team are having a week's break over Christmas.  We wish you all a lovely Christmas and hope you join us again in 2022!

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I often forget to add sentiments to many of my cards (festive or otherwise), but when it comes to Christmas a simple and traditional 'Merry Christmas' is my favourite option. I'm not a huge fan of the shortened 'Xmas' version, and 'Happy Holidays' is a little too modern for my taste.

Noel wins for me.  I love the way it looks when it is written in calligraphy and it is short and sweet and just a little different.

Chrissy
Sentiment that I love the most for Christmas is good old, Merry Christmas, I have several really good dies for this..

Elaine

I love these Tim Holtz festive dies. They are elegant and a good size for cardmaking.

I don't have a favourite Christmas sentiment. most of the times I pick a sentiment that has the perfect size or font for my card. But I think I use merry Christmas most of the times, so I decided to use that sentiment on my card today.

I am a bit of traditionalist and like to use Merry Christmas. This one on my card is lovely for embossing and comes out perfect every time.

I mostly switch between Happy Christmas and Merry Christmas which I have in stamp and digi form in a variety of sizes and fonts to suit the style and size of the card.

So long as it mentions Christmas then it's good with me!

I have a lot of Christmas text stamps. And I mean a lot!!! But I like to use this one because it is quite large and almost fills an entire card. Together with beautiful paper the card doesn't need many extras. (embellishments)

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I love any excuse to add a little sparkle to my cards so for me it's got to be Glamour Dust which I sprinkle on some Glossy Accents underneath my Christmas critter.

I find myself going back to red and white baker's twine year after year.  It is perfect for tags and to give that sweet but not too bumpy bow and you can't beat the colors for Christmas.

Gosh, I love everything so much as far as Christmas goes, but for my projects I will have to say snowflakes...and gems...

Elaine

I love poinsettia flowers, although in fact bracts. They just speak Christmas to me. They brighten up the house during the long winter months when very few other flowers are around.

I love using shimmer on my Christmas cards and that is what I did for my project today. I love adding shimmer/glitter on an image with a clear glitter pen. It gives a nice subtle shimmer and I love that look. But I also added shimmer on my tag. I have coloured the frame from this tag with Distress ink mixed with Iridescerent medium, which gives a really nice shimmer. So pretty!

It's glitter and anything sparkly for me. Christmas is a good excuse to make anything sparkle! I have used white glitter here on my snow, but it doesn't show too well in the photo.

It's bells and snowflakes for me. The sound of jingly bells conjures up childhood days when the local Fire Brigade used to transport Father Christmas around the village. There is also nothing more festive than snowflakes on cards or decorations.

Snowflakes!  They are just magical, so pretty, and they make me feel festive (especially if I am snug indoors by the fire while they are falling outside).

My favorite Christmas embellishments are baubles. I like the colors and the shimmer. I especially prefer red with silver. Those colors give me the real Christmas feeling.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.

Your Favourite: Dies or Stencils (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

Although I've recently bought a few more stencils this year, I still use them only a fraction as much as my dies. I must have hundreds of dies (and still collecting!) but only half a dozen stencils.  I love the intricacy of the dies, especially the ones I've used today.

I would have to say dies are my favorite and show up in my creations more often than stencils, but stencils do have a place in my heart.  There are just so many wonderful dies available and they are so easy to use and make cards look so crisp.

Chrissy
I love Stencils now that I have learned to be gentle, can't get me away from them now and I don't think I have ever made something without my dies..love dies.

Elaine

I have only just started using stencils, so I am a novice. I love dies and use then constantly. Almost every card I make has some sort of die cut on it. I love the fantastic variety of dies available. I think I am adicted yo buying them.

I do have many dies and stencils, but have to admit that I use my dies way more often than my stencils. I love that even a simple shape die makes your card look so much better! I also love making shaped cards with my circle dies, love the look of those!

Definitely dies for me. I use them all the time and they can enhance a card so easily.

It's definitelly dies for me and the snowflake one I have used here is a particular favourite. It's a lovely size as a card base and it adds such beautiful detail quickly, so perfect for batch making. The die cut scene in the centre is a one pass topper. Dies are a must have for quick detailled cards.

I do use dies a lot, but am also starting to use stencils more, especially now that there are such fabulous designs out there, so I couldn't decide and used both!

Dies for me. I do have a lot of dies and recently I inherited a lot of dies from my crafty friend who sadly passed away. I love to use them. And like Elaine I also use a die on every card I make.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
