This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite Ribbons or Flowers (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.
Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

At one time I never made a card without ribbon but I rarely add it now. Flowers on the other hand always make an appearance on my cards, die cutting them from patterned paper is my favourite way to use them
This is a tough one for me, because flowers and ribbons are two of my favourite embellishments. Then I reminded myself of the original purpose of this challenge, which was to create things that made us happy; things we'd enjoy making and be proud to share. So I decided I wasn't going to choose between my two favourite embellies, and instead use both! I know it's kinda against the rules, but I decided that I wrote the rules for this challenge, so I'm going to allow myself to break them this week, because choosing one over the other simply wouldn't be right in my book!
I like ribbons and flowers, but definitely have an easier time designing with ribbon. I have an extensive collection of this gorgeous textile and love using it when I can. It's also a little more post friendly than flowers.
I use both ribbons and flowers a great deal on my cards. I think flowers are used a little more often. I love the different mediums that flowers can come in. I have used wood for this card.

Goodness me, what a choice? How's a girl to choose between ribbons and flowers? I use both - lots :-) In this instance I went with ribbon as I thought flowers might be a bit fussy (if there is such a thing in cardmaking!)

I often use ribbon on my cards, but when it's for a family member or a special occasion I love to add lots of flowers. I think they make a card look that extra bit special.
I have more of an affinity with flowers than I do with ribbon, although I don't use either that much really. However, for this challenge I was going to make an effort and out came the flowers, only to find that my silicon glue is a solid lump in a tube! So, I had to resort to flat flowers ..... (I can hear Red Leader grumbling from here)
Flowers for me.
For a special friend or occasion I like to make a card with a lot of flowers on it.
I like to use different flowers, buds and leaves.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.
Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.
