This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite layers - one or many (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.
Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

Has to be layers for me... and the more the merrier!
I love using the design sheets from Polkadoodles and layering up all the extra elements and papers adds so much interest to a card. This is Jasper Kitty Balloon from the Fuzzypuffs collection with design sheets from Horace and Boo
I admit that I struggled with this theme a bit. It seems that even my most clean and simple cards aren't just one layer, but nor do I layer up papers on my most embellished cards either. Since I decided against a single layer card, my only other option was to go for a fully loaded creation, which has plenty of layers of non-paper items in my 'go-to' layout. I even added an extra layer of ribbon by popping some organza underneath the satin and a double layered bow!

I consider myself to be basically a CAS card maker. One layer with maybe a popped up image is what I am most comfortable with. I really love making special backgrounds with all the wonderful products out there.

I don't like too much fuss on my cards. A couple of layers and that's me. I am not one for too much clutter as I struggle to make it look good.

Why have one layer when you can have many? I love a card with lots of lovely layers and I love it even more when it's crammed with embellishments. In short I love a card that's the papercrafting equivalent of Bet Lynch ;-)

I don't like too much stuff on my card and most of the time, I don't have many layers on my cards, so for this challenge I had to make a one layer card. I really love it when I make a one layer card to add a really large size image and just a sentiment and then I hope if I colour the image really good, nobody will miss the layers on my card. ;)

It's very rare I make a one-layer card - I just love papers too much! I love lots of layers of paper and cardstock, but I don't add much 'fuss' other than that usually.

I love the look of other people's one layer cards, but if I try to make one I struggle and always want to add more and I have lots of patterned papers to use too.

I'm more of a middle ground girl when it comes to layers, usually two or three at most, but for this challenge I chose to have a go at the one layer lark!

Although one layer cards are a real challenge for me, I do like to make them.
They are becoming more a more my favourite.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.
Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.
