The sponsor of this challenge is

Lee Holland Digis

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite style (CAS/FAF) (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

Anne
Using Lee Holland Fox
My style has definitely changed over the years, I think CAS is harder than it looks but I love making clean'ish' modern cards and I always use dies.
I used Lee Holland's adorable 'sweet fox' image for my card

I used to be a full on FAF crafter, but I am definitely a CAS convert!  After I've spent ages colouring an image I don't want to overload it with embellies.  Plus it's easier to mail!  :0)

Brenda
Using Lee Holland's Penguin with Snowflake
I'm an eclectic card maker with a tendency toward simple.  I love nice lines with a little fluff because they are just so much fun to make!

Elaine

I think I lean towards the CAS look. I find it hard to put too much on a card and still have it look good.

Jayne
**coming soon**

Larissa
using Lee Holland Halloween kitten
Most of my cards are more in CAS style than fully loaded. I love the simple look of a CAS card. I don't use very much design paper and I am also not using very much embellishments on my cards.

Lisa
**coming soon**

My usual style is in between the two extremes, although occasionally I do like to try a shabby chic style.  I can't make a CAS card without wanting to add pearls or some other embellishment and I do like to use patterned paper so you don't see much white space on my cards. Only two flowers have been added this time as the paper is so patterned.

I am neither one or t'other!! I love patterned paper so my cards usually feature some which excludes CAS. I don't add lots of frippery so don't favour faff. My style is just "ME"!!

I have tried to make FAF, truly I have, more than once, but each time they have turned out like an explosion in an embellishment factory rather than a beautifully created piece, so I'm guessing my style is definitely CAS, sometimes more CAS than others!

I like to make cards that don't have too many layers and embellishments and tend to be clean and simple.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.

Favourite Santa or no-Santa (& Why) - and some NEWS (please read)

NEWS
Just a little note before we start this week.
I set this challenge up over 6 years ago because I wanted to give entrants the opportunity to share the reasons behind some of their creations; why they'd chosen the colours they'd used, or a specific die or stamp. I want us all to be proud of our creations and share that 'warm glow' feeling with our readers.

To ensure it's kept light and fun, we have very few 'rules' on this challenge, but our main requirement is to share a few words about why you've picked your favourite from our list of prompted options.
Unfortunately a fair proportion of our entries don't add this little insight which means they don't qualify for our prizes, generously donated by our lovely sponsors.

Please please please ensure that you read our challenge in full (we always remind you in the post and in the subject line) if you want to be eligible to win.

Our team love seeing everyone's entries and want you all to enjoy creating what you share with us each fortnight.
xx

So, onto our next challenge

The winner of this challenge will be invited to be a guest designer
with us for the month of October.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your preference of Santa or No Santa image on a Xmas card (& why).
You MUST explain WHY you prefer your choice.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

Anne
I'm just going to whisper... and say no to Santa, eek I hope he can't hear me!
There are so many lovely Christmas images around and I usually tend to choose snowmen or cute Winter furries

It's fairly safe to say that my preference is for cute furries at any time of year, so I've used this collection of critters from LOTV, because just one cute furry critter isn't enough at Christmas!

Typically I go for a sweet little creature or snow people for my Christmas cards, but this Folk Art Santa was a game changer for me.  I love the vintage feel he gives and this design went together fairly quick.

Elaine

I must admit I do not have many Santa images. So I have to say No Santas here. I like CAS cards for Christmas as I am usually in a rush to finish them on time.

I don't have many stamps with Santas, so I don't use them very often. I prefer using sweet Christmas critters.

I have been known to use a Santa image now and then, but they are usually for a child's card, so the majority of my cards don't have Santa on them.

I have chosen bunny rabbits to put on this particular Christmas card that will probably find it's way to my GD Mollie Rose. I have never found a stamp or image of Father Christmas that I like...sorry Father Christmas!!

Don't get me wrong, I do like some Satan Santa stamps, but there are so many cute and adorable Christmas images out there and if it includes a cute and furry critter then I'm sold.

No Santa Claus for me. I have few images of Santa Claus. I would rather choose a snowman. These days I don't make many cards with (cute) images.
I prefer to make CAS Christmas cards.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
