This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite Embossing Technique (heat or dry) (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I admit that I have done wet embossing, and actually really like the effect, but it's just so messy and extremely prone to flufifng it up with straying embossing powder.  Plus I love the appearance of the dry embossing, so that's what I've chosen.

Samantha
My: favourite has to be Heat embossing at the moment
Why? : I love that it gives me the lines I need for this water colour technique.

Carol

If I want a card in a hurry dry embossing is the way to go for me, quick and love how embossing folders and especially how I can use my dies as embossed images on a card.

Mojca

I chose heat embossing, because I just love how it looks like on a card and also because I haven't used it for quite a long time. Well, I know now why I don't use it as much, because it's really difficult to get a good result ...

Sarah

My favourite has to be dry embossing. It amazes me that by using a folded piece of plastic  you can turn a boring piece of card into something tactile and add interest to a card in seconds.

Suzette

**coming soon**

Wilma

My favourite is heat embossing. I know it's a bit messy but I like the result.
I love the
sharp and clear lines.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite Embossing Technique (heat or dry) (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

~ 3 Sanja Grdinić

She chose - Lines: Here's why :
lines, definitely - too scared to try an image without ones. :)

I love this card.I love that the lines are so defined and also your shading the hair looks so real too! All the little details you have added makes this card so special.

21 ~ Stephanie Hester

She chose - No Lines. Here's why :
no lines because I love the dimension it creates
[TT%2520%2523117%255B5%255D.jpg]
WOW I wish I could be somewhere near this good at NO lines.
Your shading, dimension and colouring is just perfect.

31 ~ Coops

She chose - Lines.  Here's why :
absolutely has to be lines, I have tried the no lines technique a few times but I can't get to grips
with it, I like the definition you get from the lines, it seems to make the image stand out more and seem more defined. high praise to those who rock the no lines colouring but give me lines any day

Firstly I love the colour, love how you have got the shading and colouring or all their clothes and the balloons are brilliant. I also love the shading of the background and the image just pops with those lines.

So I have been very naughty and picked another card for my Top 3

but I just have to share this one too!

43 ~ Jan R
She chose - Lines. Here's why:
Lines - maybe one of these days I'll try no lines but I'm not sure it'll work with my style.

WOW!
Awesome colouring method and so much texture,

Your card and colouring method is just fabulous and lines
definitely ring out for this card

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite Colouring medium Alcohol Markers or DI inks (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.
Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

Guest Designer:
Jane using Happy Himalayan
(there is a tutorial on how she makes her candles on her blog)

Annette
Although I love my markers, my favourite colouring medium is definitely watercolouring with DI reinkers - I love the soft tones you can get with the contrasting dark shadows, but most of all I find using the paintbrush really therapeutic!

Samantha
Hmmm Alcohol or Distress inks now that is a hard choose for me
But! I have used markers a lot of recent I think I have to say that markers seem to be my favourite for colouring images, I love the way I can blend them and I love that they blend quite quickly too, when my Mojo is working that is...

Carol

Love Alcohol markers, great for my colouring but also use them to match up ribbons and card when I need to

Mojca

I am in love with Copic Markers (alcohol)!!! they blend so beautifully and you can use them on all sorts of materials.

Sarah

Alcohol markers for me...no contest. I just LOVE a bit of "grown up" colouring in!! That's not to say I haven't dabbled with painting, I just don't have the patience!!

Suzette

I love copics (Alcohol markers) and recently was sent by C&C the chameleon pens that gives you a watercolour effect as well. I have combined both.

Wilma

For me it is Alcohol Markers. I like colouring with alcohol markers, because they blend so well and mostly I am satisfied with the result.

So now it's over to you.

We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite Alcohol markers or DI inks (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.
