This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite non card project (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

Although my main addiction hobby is paper-crafting, I tried my hand at jewellery making several years ago and decided to dig out my old stash again for this challenge. I had previously mainly made earrings but decided to attempt some double stranded bracelets. They're very therapeutic to create and make lovely gifts.  There are more photos on my blog if you're interested in seeing a bit more!

I enjoy crafting of all kinds.  I can't seem to sit still, I'm always happiest when I am making something, anything.  I like giving what I make to my family and friends, it's like giving them a little piece of my heart.

Elaine

I love making boxes. I think they make a small gift extra special.

I really love making boxes, because they are the perfect personal gift. I love that you can give it the perfect size for the gift your are giving and it makes giving a present extra special.

Lynne

Cross stitch was my favourite hobby before card making took over.  I still do a little bit now and then as it's something I can do while watching tv and I find it relaxing.

I have put away the paper pads this time and cross stitched a leaving gift for a work colleague. My cardmaking came about from cross stitching greetings cards and I still dip in and out when the desire takes over.

It might have had something to do with the fact that I rather over-ordered some
keyring blanks ..... but I made a keyring for a friend's son who is space mad, for a key
for his own space

I like to wrap presents in boxes or bags, I think it makes a present more special.
For my friends I made a bag with a scent bag, candle and a card.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Black & White + your favourite 1 other colour (& why it's your favourite).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

For someone who likes to match the colours of any embellishments (ribbons, pearls, papers, flowers etc) whenever I add them, I found this fortnight's challenge a little difficult.  Now, I'm not usually a 'yellow' person, but when tasked with the only other colours being black and white I wanted my image to really stand out, so I chose a golden yellow colour to give some brightness to my project.

I love black and white along with many colors, so this is another hard one.  I went with a patina color (mainly because I really wanted to use this new embossing powder).  I love the way it works with the black and white!

Elaine

I have chosen B & W with red. I like the strong combination, it is always very striking. You don't need to use too much colour for a balanced card.

I love black and white together with the colour that is called Larissa pink by Annette ...lol. I really love the bright pink together with black and white, because it really pops. This shade of pink is a real favourite, and it even looks better with black and white.

I have chosen purple as my added colour.  It's my favourite colour anyway and I think it looks very striking with black.

I put pink with black and white...it always looks classy!!

What's black and white and red all over?
A zebra with sunburn

My favorite colour is green. I love the combination with black and white. The green colour stands out.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

So, onto our next challenge

The winner of this challenge will be invited to be a guest designer
with us for the first challenge in September.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite; Fur or Feathers (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I'm not a huge fan of things that flutter in real life (I don't like the thought of them fluttering around my head). Furry things are generally much cuter!  My favourite animal are cats, and in particular I've always had a love of tigers from a very early age. I'm not sure I'd want to pet one though!  I'll stick to the smaller, domesticated varieties for that!

I love both furry and feathery friends.  I have to go with furry friends as my favorite because there is nothing quite as nice as a cuddle with a sweet puppy or kitty.

Elaine

A hard choice, I love both fur and feather friends. This time I thought I would opt for feathers. It is so nice the hear the chirps and song of birds whilst sitting in the garden. My hubby is a keen birder so I made this card especially for him.

I have chosen fur! I love colouring all kinds of cute animals and colouring their fur. I love it when I can achieve a really soft look.

For me it is fur, both in real life and for colouring.  I love cute animals, they can be so soft and cuddly and there are many more images to choose from too.

It's fur all the way for me, soft, silky and warm...lovely!! Feathery things scare me. When we were farming I had a dozen hens that were kept in a hamstone barn. They liked nothing more than to roost up high and I wouldn't open the door to collect the eggs and let them out until they were safely on the floor!! Even now I keep the curtains closed when the patio doors are wide open to stop birds flying in!!

Whilst I love watching birds at a safe distance, I'm not so keen on them flapping about too close to me, too many run-ins with budgies, pigeons and seagulls perhaps, but I absolutely lurrrrrrrrrve anything in a fur coat.  So, anyway, this is an experiment in furriness
and an attempt to get some texture

For me it is furry but I also love birds. The coat is so wonderful to pet. My all time favorite is a cat, but I regularly make cards with a cat so I chose this time for his persecutor. I used the cute mouse from House Mouse. I do not have a mouse as a pet and I'm not afraid of mice either. But I do love the cartoons of Tom and Jerry.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
