So, onto our next challenge

The winner of this challenge will be invited to be a guest designer for our next challenge.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite Flower (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

For floral embellishments I love lilies and open roses which I often use, as well as the starburst ones which I can't seem to buy anymore.  I also sneaked in a beautiful two-tone pink rose-hip.

However, the flowers that I love most in the garden are tulips, which I rarely use in paper form.  Tulips remind me of Spring with the end of the cold weather in sight. I also love the variety in colour and especially love the double variety which can resemble roses.  I love the pinks and plum colours, but my favourites are probably oranges and yellows, which remind me of little flames lighting up the garden in the Spring sunshine!

Brenda
I love wild flowers.  I love what they represent.  I love the mixture of colors and I love the loose, flowing composition they display.  The little flowers on this card remind me of the black eyed Susans that can be found in the farm fields and along the highways where I grew up.

Elaine

I love most flowers. I spend lots of my time in the good weather in my garden enjoying the colours. I have chosen poppies today because they can be used on so many different types of cards.

It was a difficult decision which one I like best Tulips or poppies, but I decided to go for a poppuy. I really love their red colour. It stands out really great when you see them in a grass field. I really love that look.

I love all flowers, but this time I have chosen tulips. I really love to see them in the garden, it means warmer weather is on the way and they come in so many beautiful colours but, alas, their season is too short.

I have so many favourite flowers and my current "real" life favourites are hyacinths which I have had in various colours all winter. My all time favourite has to be roses, the range of colours and fragrances are fantastic and for my project I have chosen a yellow rose.

There are so many flowers I love, and to look at my favourites are daisies, they are so happy, but for fragrance one of the most evocative has to be lily of the valley

This one is a hard one for me, I love all flowers. For this challenge I chose tulips.
I can't wait to see the tulips blossom on the fields. I love the scent and the bright colours.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

I love cute and furry bunnies so there's no better excuse to feature these little critters on my card than at Easter ... and there's nothing better to accompany the Easter Bunny than some yummy chocolate!  Two of my favourite things on one card! :0)

I love the little chicks that are always featured at Easter, especially when they are as cute as these little ones!

Elaine

My favourite Easter Character has to be bunnies. We used to keep rabbits when my children were young, they are so cute and fun fun to watch playing in the garden.

I really love bunnies and chicks for easter cards, but my all time favourite animals for cards are mice, so when I can make an easter card with cute mice on it, I am totally happy. I really love their cute look!

I love both bunnies and chicks, but I associate bunnies more with Easter and they are just so cute.

I was torn between chicks or bunnies and went with chicks so that I could use my new stamp and die set. Let's not forget the significance of new life that eggs and chicks represent.

Oh it just has to be a bunny, with their twitchy little noses, long whiskers and soft little tails, just love 'em!  Mind you, the bunny that I owned once wasn't a soft and fluffy cuddle monster, she was a real demon, obviously not designed for Easter!

I like all Easter characters and have chosen a bunny. I love their soft fur and their cute little nose.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
either single or multiple layers.
You MUST explain WHY your selected layer style is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I must admit that I'm a bit of a fan of both (depending on the mood or theme).  However, even though this was intended to be a fairly flat card, I can't resist adding layers of papers using dies and ribbons.  Even the tag that I added was raised up on foam pads, so I guess I like layers!  I do think a bit of texture makes a hand crafted card differ from something that's shop-bought.

I have to say this is a toss up for me.  It depends on what mood I am in and the image I am working with.  Some images need the spotlight where as others flourish in details and layers.

I love a variety of styles for my cards. Sometimes it is CAS and other a litte bit more fussy.
Today I have chosen simple layers but not too many so that the image is centrepiece to the card.

Most of the times my cards are really Clean and simple. I am not doing well with combining design papers, so I will not use lots of layers on my card. I also love the challenge to make a pretty card with just one layer.

I think single layer cards like Larissa's look so good, but I just can't do it! I do like pretty patterned papers and when I've tried single layers I always feel as though I have something missing so I stick to more than one.

It's multiple layers for me, it's just the best way to showcase lovely papers!!

I love the CAS look of one-layer cards, but the Distress Inks don't work well with the cardstock I use for my base cards, so there are always layers to allow me to use Bristol Board to colour on, so I tend to favour the multiple layers option, even if it's only a couple!

I love them both. One layer is always a struggle for me, but mostly I am satisfied with the result. For this challenge I choose multiple layer. I love mixing papers/image/sentiment and embellishments.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
