And, because I can never be trusted to conform to the rulebook when I'm in charge of the top picks, I have a 4th 'top 3' this week - I have long wanted to try Acrylic Pouring, so my last top pick is this amazing open cup pour. There were others on the blogpost so do pop over to take a peek as they're all amazing!

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite Sketch / Layout (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

My favourite card layout is cover a square base card with two pretty patterned papers top & bottom. I cover the join with some ribbon and add a double bow at the side. Often the image is die cut into a circle, and I'll add a posy of flowers on the diagonals. The final touch is a trio of pearls in the opposite diagaonal corners. I've used this sketch many many times, and still love the layout because it gives lots of interest, texture and embellishment to frame the image.

This is one of my favorite sketches.  I like it because itÊ»s not to fussy, but still interesting. To be honest, it also gave me a chance to use the stitched fishtail dies I had to have and have probably used twice in the last 10 years.

I often use a vertical strip down the left side of my card with and image or embellishment in the centre. It is one of my go to layouts which always looks pleasing.

I really love making clean and simple cards and I am not really good with using patterned papers, so I often use this sketch in some way. It has a strip of patterned paper on the side (or bottom) and then I add a large piece of cardstock, that most of the times is white. It is a simple way to use patterned paper and there is still lots of room for the image.

This is my go to layout when I'm stuck for ideas.  I think it's well balanced and I am always happy with the end result.

I use a sketch when mojo is lacking and my "go to" vault is at lovely Jules' Always With A Heart.

This is my favorite sketch at the moment. I like clean and simple cards and this sketch is perfect for me.

It's over to you.

We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

I'm not sure elegant is a quality that would apply to me in any thread of my life, and when it comes to cute versus elegant in my crafting, it's definitely cute that wins the vote!  In particular cute critters.

I do like creating elegant cards, but I would say my favorite would be cute.  I love finding cute images and fun, whimsical papers that hopefully will bring a smile.

I like making both cute and elegant depending the occasion. I do enjoy making cute cards as they are fun to do and the images are adorable.

It will come as no surprise that I chose cute cards, although that doesn’t mean I don’t also really enjoy making an elegant card from time to time. That said, I have to admit that I especially love making cards with cute little animals on them, so those are my absolute favourites to create.

I do love to make cute cards for little ones but more often than not I make floral cards as I make quite a few for an elderly Aunt to give to her friends.

I can't help myself, it's cute for me. I love quirky stamps or digis of people, animals, houses etc. They are a joy to colour and I can always find a patterned paper to compliment them.

My go to type of card is elegant.  For many years I made cute cards but lately my 'taste' is elegant cards. I am not sure why but this type of card is the first thing I go to.

It's over to you.

We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.

Using Puffy Clouds by Lawn Fawn
I love a lot of cute and furry critters, but bunnies are one of my all time favourites.  I used to have a pet bunny when I was younger, and love to see them hopping around in the wild. I've used a bunny with daisy image for my card today which reminds me of Spring when the days are starting to get longer and warmer!

There are so many critters I like, it was had to chose a favorite one.  I went with a Teddie bear because there are so many cute, cuddly ones out there to create with.

Hedgehogs are one of our family's favourite critters. We have fond memories of taking the children out in the evenings on a hedgehog hunt in the woods.

**coming soon**

Not in real life as I'd freak out if we had one in the house, but colouring wise I do love these little mice. They are so cute with their big ears and easy to colour.

I am in christmas mode at the moment and it just wouldn't be Christmas without the wonderful little critter James the Bear. He is lovely to colour and being so versatile can be used for all occasions.

I love the stamps with little mice from Penny Black, each of them are so cute. I have plenty of Penny Black stamps with mice so I have plenty of choice. And they are not so hard to colour.
