I think my favourite occasion to send a card for is special/big birthdays. It's lovely to be able to personalise them with a name or number. This was for my Mum who recently had her 80th

Christmas is my favourite excuse to make a card. I love all the options for embelishments (a good excuse for some snow speckles or even a spot of glitter. I also love Christmas as a time of year, usually a proper week off work and some time to relax!
Using Bella Bear and
Love & Kisses Paper Bundles from Polkadoodles

My favorite reason for sending a card, especially over that last year has been, just because.  Maybe just because I miss you, I'm thinking about you or I hope to make you smile.  I want my friends and far away family to know I'm thinking of them.  I'm using the Polkadoodles image Too Cute Gil Rabbit Growing Sunflowers.

I don't always need an excuse to send a card. During this past year I have not been able to see my Grandson very often. So I have made several fun cards just to remind him we are thinking of him.

The occasions that I make the most cards for are christmas and birthdays. For this challenge I have chosen for a birthday card. You can have enough of those and you need them during the whole year.

I don't actually 'send' many cards but I guess my favourite reason would have to be for a birthday, to let someone know you are thinking of them on their special day.

I don't get the chance to send many, but I do love making baby cards.  It's such a joyous occasion for the parents and a handmade card is that little bit special.

I would normally say Birthday cards are my favourite reason to get crafty but during these stay at home days I have made more and more cards just to say hello and hope you are well.

The cards I make the most of, like everyone else, are birthday, but my favourite reason to send a card is friendship, it is lovely to receive a card out of the blue from someone you care about.

Apart from Christmas cards as favourite my next favourite is Birthday cards. Through the year I need a lot of birthday cards. I love to send them. I think it means so much more than a text message or an email.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite kind of stamps: Digi, Rubber or Clear Stamps (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

Anne
I would have always had no hesitation in saying rubber or clear but recently I'm loving the flexibility of digi images. I like that you can resize or flip them and they're so convenient for batch making. This is one of the new LOTV 'Grace' digi stamps due to be released soon x

While some of my favourite brands are clear stamps and I love the convenience of digis, my favourite is rubber. Although generally they're more expensive, I personally find that they produce a more consistently crisp stamped image.  It's therefore fortunate that some of my favourite brands are manufactured in this medium, such as Magnolia Tilda and Purple Onion Designs.

This is a tough challenge.  I love the versatility of digital stamps and the ease of storage. But I like being able to stamp on different materials, where digital stamps pretty much confine you to paper and with a finicky printer like mine, it can't be very thick.  Ease of placement and variety are my other reasons for this choice. This card was stamped with a photopolymer stamp which I think is my most favourite.

This is hard to choose. I have used a digital image for this card because it was perfect for the recipient. I do love to use rubber stamps, it was how I started cardmaking. The only problem with stamps is storage. I started with a box of them and now have many shelves full. So at the moment digital is the easiest to store.

I don't prefer any kind of stamp really much, I like them all. :) Each stamp has its own advantages and disadvantages. I love digital stamps, because you can use them in any size you want, you are able to mirror your image, if that is better for your card. I love the price of digital stamps and I really love it that they don't take up any space in your crafting area. I don't like it that you are not able to emboss your images, which I love doing when I want to watercolour an image. So this means that I love rubber and clear stamps, because you can emboss the image, but they do take up a lot of space.

I would have always said that I prefer rubber stamps, however looking at what I have made recently - they are nearly all digital images! I do love the flexibility of a digital image especially being able to resize it for your project. This is a one of the new LOTV images due to be released soon.

I think all 3 types have their good and bad points. I like digi and clear the best and have used a digi for this card for the re-sizing ability and clear stamps for the sentiment so I could heat emboss.

My first attempts at stamping were made with good old grey rubber and this year I am revisiting some of my older  stamps. This one from LOTV has been used for tweenage boys many times!!

(sorry I'm late chaps!)  Right then, stamps or digi, well, if you could see how MANY stamps I have in my collection you wouldn't need me to explain, lol, but it is stamps every time for me.  I just love the feel of them, the whole process of inking, stamping, cleaning (yes, I even enjoy that bit).  Somehow, for me, digis feel a bit, well, soul-less.

In my stash I have digi, clear and rubber stamps. It's hard to choose which type of stamp is my favourite. It also depends on the theme or the card I want to make.
For this card I used a clear stamp. I love this anemone stamp.
