CHALLENGE RULES:
Usually we provide 2 or more contrasting options for you to choose from.
Join us by using your favourite option within your creation.
To be eligible to win our prize, or top-3 spot,
you must explain why you've made your choice,
so we can appreciate why you're proud of your creation!
eg, if the theme is 'favourite animal' and you decide on 'rabbits',
maybe the reason is that you love Thumper, the bunny from Bambi !

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite Fabric Embellishment (eg ribbon, lace, twine) (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.
Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:
I have several shoe boxes full of reels and reels of different widths and textures, and my favourite way to use them is to make double bows to frame my image. On today's card, I've used a 6mm satin ribbon to cover the join in my patterned papers, and a 15mm organza ribbon in the same purple for the double bow.
I would have to say organza ribbon is a favorite for me. I use it mostly for treat boxes or hand delivered cards. I love the way it ties into such beautiful bows with no problems and it comes in such a wide assortment of colors.
I don't use a lot of fabric on my creations, but do have a habit of collecting bits of ribbon and twine from packaging. Some are not large enough to make proper bows so I use them on tags.
I like to use ribbon to cover the join in patterned papers, but more often without a bow purely because of the bulk for posting.
I love a bit of ribbon or lace to add a bit of texture to a card or project. I confess to having rather a lot of ribbons and lace that I have accumulated over the years so there is usually the right colour in my box.
I like using thread. It is very thin, which I like. Because of that, you don't get those thick bumps on your card. In terms of color, it matches almost everything. It's very versatile.
It's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.
Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.
