Anne
As a lady of a certain age I'd have to go for Spring. I have my own personal Summer going on with hot flushes so don't need any extra heat thank you!!

Summer is my favourite; the long light days, the warmth of the sun and the garden looking its best (well, the best it is ever going to look!).  I've made a summery themed oversized gift tag for today's creation, featuring some cute LOTV bunnies sitting on a toadstool, and added lots of flowers, both on the papers and the embellishments.

Definitely spring for me.  I love the rebirth that comes with spring.  Even in the land of "endless summer" where I live, you can tell when spring is here.  I love all the wonderful vibrant colors of  the newly blooming plants, flowers and trees.

I love both spring and summer. To choose one I think spring. It's the anticipation of some lovely warm weather to come. The bees are starting to appear to pollinate all the flowers, I love the hum of these busy workers and even more their honey.

I love all seasons, because they all have something special, but for this challenge I decided to go for summer, because I am really looking forward to it this year. I hope we have nice warm weather and sunshine.

Oooh, spring or summer - I love both but I've finally decided on summer. I love the sunshine (hopefully), the long light evenings and the school holidays!

It's Spring for me.  I love it when the gardens start budding again, bulbs are coming through and all the little birds are busy building their nests.  The older I get the less I like the heat of summer!

To be picky it's early Summer for me just when the garden is looking fresh and colourful and the lawn is still green and although the mornings and nights are lighter it is still comfortable enough to sleep without overheating!!

Absolutely Spring for me, happy birds, flowers bobbing in a light breeze, sunshine but not too hot, bumble bees bumbling (thankfully no wasps), baby animals popping out all over the place.  Perfect.

Spring is my favorite of these 2 seasons. I can enjoy the birds singing in the early morning or late afternoon. And of course also the colorful fields with tulips and hyacinths and the wonderful scent of these flowers.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite: Embossing or Stencilling (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I've always been a fan of embossing folders, the effect is so lovely with hardly any effort but that said
I've chosen stencils for this challenge. I've bought quite a few recently and I'm enjoying experimenting with them and using them for backgrounds

Although I do love the effect created by embossing folders, I don't seem to use the few that I have very often.  I do like creating background scenes for my images, which is easy to do with some ink pads and a stencil.

I have to say I favor both dry and heat embossing.  I love the magical transformation that happens with heating embossing powder and the added dimension and texture dry embossing gives.   I've used both dry and heat embossing on this card.

I do use stencilling and both heat and dry embossing. It all depends on the image and the style of card I am making.
I have used heat embossing for my card this time. This is an old stamp which I think works well with heat embossing and inks. Heat embossing was the first technique I used in cardmaking.

I love the look a pretty stencil can give on a card and lately I have been using my embossing folders more again. Both are really awesome to use, but my most used technique is heat embossing, so I can watercolour my images. I have been doing it a lot to practice my watercolouring skills and love it!

I don't tend to use embossing folder that much - although I do have quite a few! I don't have any stencils at all so embossing folders it is. I do like the texture you can create especially for snowy backgrounds.

don't use embossing folders much, but I do love to heat emboss flowers as it gives me a chance to practice with my Zig markers which I don't use often enough.

I love embossing folders to add texture to my cards. I should actually use them more often as I appear to have rather a lot to choose from!!

I haven't used an embossing folder for aaaaaages, in fact I think my collection is suffocating under cobwebs.  I do seem to have developed a fascination for stencils though, I love that you can add depth and interest without adding too many layers or papers.

I love to heat emboss. I like the crisp lines to stand out and have some shine.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
