Favourite: Clean or Fussy (and why)

Welcome to As You Like It Challenge

Our fortnightly challenge is a home for you to create something
which gives you a warm "inner glow" of pride, without lots of entry rules.

CHALLENGE RULES:

Usually we provide 2 contrasting options for you to choose from.
Join us by using your favourite option in your creation.

To be eligible to win our prize, or top-3 spot,
you must explain why you've made your choice,
so we can understand why you like it so much!

eg, if the theme is 'favourite animal' and you decide on 'rabbits', tell us why.
eg, you love Thumper, the bunny from Bambi !

So get crafting and remember the main requirement in creating is
to have fun and enjoy your crafting time!

So, onto our next challenge

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite: Clean or Fussy (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I personally enjoy making both styles, although I find the clean and simple theme far more challenging because mine seem to feel 'unfinished'. I've tasked myself to make a clean and simple card that I'm happy with. This one's for a dad who's keen on fishing, so the masculine theme tends to lend itself more to clean and simple.

I have to say fussy for now.  This card doesn't have a lot going on at first glance, but it did take several steps to complete it and I loved the process it took and all the texture that was achieved.

Oh, I'm full on fussy, I love the keep adding stuff, layering and building
just makes me happy...

I am not to good at adding too many embellishments, I end up with a mess! So it is clean for me. I love this black and white with a pop of red.

I have always been a more clean card maker. I don't like adding lots of stuff on my cards. When I use patterned paper, I only use 1 sheet and I also often make cards without any patterned paper. I don't like to add lots of embellishments, and often I don't use any at all.

My cards are a lot cleaner than they used to be, mainly because of the cost of posting.  I still like to add a few pearls though and seeing as this one wasn't being posted I added a little bobtail too.

I am a cleaner kind of crafter these days and tend to make flatter cards. I have a love of symmetry and paper pads so the two generally make for a clean design. A white border always adds to a clean look I always think.

I love them both. But nowadays I go for the clean cards. It also depends on the type of card or for female or male.

It's over to you.

We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.
