Choose Ribbon or Flowers (and tell us Why)

Thank you to everyone who entered our last challenge.
Our winner is:

Shuly

I loved this one (and the other entry Shuly linked up) and her choice of paper was unique (it was not a design paper as the rest of us picked, me included, but instead a paper from her grandpa's old company that she used for stamping - what a lovely family connection!)

Please email us at AsYouLikeItChallenge@hotmail.co.uk to claim your prize,

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite: Choose either Flowers or Ribbon.
To win the prize, you MUST explain WHY you've made that choice.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I love adding ribbon to my cards especially double bows.  I have lots of ribbons in different colours to match the colour theme of my card and love the texture they add.  I often use them to cover joins in backing papers but today's card showcases a simple use in a spotty aqua design to match the paper.

I would have to pick ribbons as my favorite.  I have always loved ribbon and have quite a collection including some wonderful vintage silk ribbon.  Ribbon can add elegance, fun and even cover imperfection.

This is a hard one for me. I love to add ribbon and flowers to my cards. I have opted for flowers this time as a main feature. I like the versitility of adding fowers as a small embellishment too.

Although I have a lot of flower dies and punches, I don't use them very often on my cards. At the moment I prefer using ribbon on my cards. My cards are really simple most of the times and I think a ribbon looks better than flowers, because they can make a card a bit busier.

I do have quite a lot of both, but it depends who the card is for and whether it's to be posted.  I love to add flowers as they add texture and make the card special for the recipient.

I don't use either very often but you are more likely to see ribbon on my card as I have so much of it!! There are such a range of textures colours and widths these days and they add interest and texture to any card or project.

OK, so, here's the dilemma, I don't often use ribbons or flowers!
I have tried in the past, but "dog's dinner" comes to mind, froo-froo just isn't
my style.  So, I furtled about in the stash to see which of the two evils I have the
most of, and was horrified to find a rather sizeable collection of flowers, so I thought I had better use some!

Flowers! I don't use them very often, but when I do I like to make small bunches of flowers, leaves, stamens and thread.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase Your Favourite: Flowers or Ribbon (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.
