This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite Stamp type (ie Physical or Digi) (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.
Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:
I will admit that I have far more digi images than I do rubber stamps, and I certainly appreciate the convenience of them when it comes to storage, ease of browsing my collection and instant purchasing! But there is still something more satisfying about getting truely inky and stamping your own image. I've had problems in the past with printer ink bleeding when I'm watercolouring images, and times when my printer's not been playing at all, whereas my physical ink pads seem to last forever. And finally, the brands that gave me the papercrafting bug were physical stamps (some on wooden blocks!) so it's often nice to dig out those stamps again. Therefore, I've selected a rubber stamp from my collection for today's card. However, I expect my laziness will kick back in and I'll revert back to digis again next week!
I have both digital images and stamps in my collection. There are many things I like about digital images, but my favorite has to be stamps. There just something about getting fun new images in the mail and getting all inky using them. There are many techniques I enjoy that are best done with stamps like embossing, watercolor and paper piecing.
I use both stamped and digi images. My cardmaking began with rubber stamps and I still have a love for them. This card is using stamps, it is nice to stamp over a stencilled and inked background for a unique effect.
I enjoy working with both, but I'm really fond of the benefits digital stamps have over rubber/clear stamps. I like that I can adjust the size of the image myself and that I can flip the image if it suits my card better. They're also convenient because they don't take up space in your craft room.
I do love digis for the fact that you can re-size them especially when you make a larger card such as this one which is 7"x7".
I have LOTS of both but for co-ordination and the ability to resize, flip and replicate the same detail over and over, it has to be Digis. They are cost effective and you can find almost anything in digi form. I am sharing the perfect example as I could not find a rubber stamp with a digger anywhere!!
Mostly I use stamped images on my card. I have a lot of stamps and there is always a stamp that is right for that person of occasion.
It's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.
Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.
