Your Favourite Cats or Dogs (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

Firstly, from Jules, or fabulous Guest Designer for July.
We've loved having you play along with us this month and your cards have been amazing.
You've ended on a high with this cutie too.

Jules
I have no preference for “real” dogs or cats .. .. .. but I do love the cats in my Penny Black stamp collection

Anne

Using Horace & Boo
I've always been a dog girl, my Manny is my best friend in the World.
This Horace and Boo collection from Polkadoodles covers both though because there's a cat and a dog! I love the digi kit, all the little pre coloured elements are great for a quick card

Dogs have masters, cats have slaves.
It's safe to say that I've always been a slave!
I've had kitties since I was a toddler and my home
doesn't feel complete without a furry feline companion.

I'm a dog person.  I love the way you can always see how much they love you in their eyes and how they make you laugh with all their funny antics.
I have to opt for dogs. Although I don't have a dog I do like to snuggle up with my daughters pooch. Also I have more dog images than cats.

Larissa
I have never owned a dog or cat. My cousins had a dog that I saw very often and I really liked him. He and I were big buddies. We always went for long walks, so I guess I have a little preference for dogs.

I've never had pets and have no preference over cats or dogs so in terms of making a card, I tend to choose a cute image that I like at the time, and I do think that Scruff the dog is quite cute.

I have never owned a cat and, as we have two dogs, I have to say I prefer them.  They are so affectionate and always want to be with you.

There is nothing quite like a dog to greet you at the door, they are always pleased to see you and love you more than anything on earth.

I've had cats in my life since I was born, literally - Sam, the farm tabby, used to sleep under my pram in the garden and wouldn't let anyone near, he was a fierce guard cat!  I can't imagine being without one now, with their cuteness (when they want), their calming purrs, their antics, scheming, mischief, all in all life would be dull without a furry feline buddy.

Cats!
I love to play and cuddle with them. They are so cute and make me smile.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

Jules
Summer has to win this choice as this is when we get to enjoy beautiful long sunny days (if we are lucky), we can walk out without a coat and hopefully enjoy the odd picnic or two.

Anne
Although Autumn is my favourite season (Halloween, bonfire night, pumpkins, wind, leaves etc) when it comes to crafting I would have to choose Summer. I love to use bright colours on my cards and lots of sunshine, flowers and of course bunting!

I love the long warm days of summer; lots of sunshine and all the garden (ok, weeds) in colour. I love the longer evenings before it gets dark because it really feels like I can spend some time in daylight outside of work.

Brenda
I love the bright warm sun of summer and all the beautiful flowers growing in my yard.
Summer has to be my choice. I love the garden full of flowers, all the colours and the warm sun.

I like both seasons. Autumn is great because of all of its colours and autumn is the season for Halloween cards and I really enjoy making those. But summer is also really great because most of the time it means warm weather and happy people.

I love summer. Nice weather, pretty flowers and being able to get outside without getting cold!

I much prefer summer to autumn when the gardens are at their best and all the flowers are in full bloom.

I love the autumn. The colours are glorious and I love riding or kicking my way through the crunchy leaves on misty mornings.

It's autumn for me.  I don't like the intense heat of summer (or the bugs) but love the mellow warmth and the light of autumn days, even when there is a chill first thing in the morning, and the rich colours of the leaves changing.  I don't even mind it getting dark a little earlier as that is a great reason to be tucked up safely indoors.

Autumn. I really enjoy the discolouration of the leaves.
I even like the weather.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.

The winner of this challenge will be
invited to join us as a Guest Designer for August

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite Farm or Jungle  (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

We have the wonderful Jules joining us as a Guest Designer this month,
so please pop over and leave her a comment.
Here's a little bit about her:

I am a very happily married, craft obsessed workaholic, who could craft 24 hrs a day given the chance!  Such a shame we have to waste time sleeping isn’t it?

Everything I make has a heart on it somewhere ...
... big and bold or small and almost hidden ...
... the fun is trying to find them.

I chose the Jungle option as I just love the thought of so many different animals living wild and free in their natural environment.

So, did you spot the heart?!!!

Here are the beautiful creations made by the rest of our
Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I love animals and a safari is high on my bucket list so I had to choose jungle for this challenge

This was a tough choice for me as I've got a soft spot for lambs and horses, as well as chickens which we used to have as pets, but I have also had a life long love of the big cats, my favourite being the Tiger, so that's what I've opted for on today's card.

Brenda
I wish I could live on a farm, so it's farm animals for me.  I particularly like chickens (even tho not really an animal) because they can have such gorgeous colours in their tails and I have to admire the confidence they exude.

Elaine

I have stretched the theme for this challenge a little. I have chosen jungle in a cartoon way. I bought a range of Disney Winnie the Pooh stamps about 15 years ago. Tigger is one of my favourite characters because his personality is so much fun.

I like working with all kinds of animals on my cards, but I think I have more jungle animals than farm animals. Many sets are bought because my nephew was really into jungle animals. The look on his face when I made something with one of those was just amazing. I love working with jungle animals, because I don't get to see them very often in real. I live in an area where there are lots of farm animals, so I see those often, so I think it is fun to use jungle animals on my cards because of that.

I wasn't sure what to do for this challenge so after a rummage through my stamps I found this adorable image, then realised I have many more farm animals in my collection than jungle animals! So farm animals it is...

I think I have to go for jungle animals, purely because I have far more stamps/images than those from a farm. After all, who can resist a cute elephant?

As an ex-Farmer it couldn't be anything but farm animals all the way for me!!

I think it has something to do with the TV shows I saw as a child, Daktari, Tarzan, etc, and even though I grew up surrounded by farm animals I have always been fascinated by jungle animals.  I think I had a brain fizz for this one because I have created an Urban Jungle......

For me, farm it is without a doubt. I love cows because they are such gentle animals.
And I love chickens too, I don't know exactly why.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
