Our fortnightly challenge is a home for you to create something
which gives you a warm "inner glow" of pride, without lots of entry rules.
CHALLENGE RULES:
Usually we provide 2 or more contrasting options for you to choose from.
Join us by using your favourite option within your creation.
To be eligible to win our prize, or top-3 spot,
you must explain why you've made your choice,
so we can appreciate why you're proud of your creation!
eg, if the theme is 'favourite animal' and you decide on 'rabbits',
maybe the reason is that you love Thumper, the bunny from Bambi !

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite Pet (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

I've had kitties my whole life, and my house wouldn't be a home without a feline companion. I currently have 2, a brother and sister, who are naughty troublemakers, but I wouldn't be without them. I'm rarely alone and the little boy cat in particular is usually only a few inches from my ankles or demanding cuddles on my lap!
I have enjoyed living with several cats and parrot, but it makes sense that my current pup should own my heart, right? He is a Bordiepoo. a border collie/poodle mix. I love his cute face, freakishly long legs and his ability to make his wants/needs known. He leans toward the border collie side because he likes keeping his "herd" together. He pushes my leg in the direction he wants to go, very often towardf his favorite aunties that live on our street.
When my children were young we had rabbits. They were house trained and would come into the house of an evening and stretch out in the lounge. Fond memories.

It has to be dogs for me as, apart from the odd fish, they are the only pets I have had. Charlie our little dog is nearly 14 now and the house would seem empty without him .
Don't tell the pony but for the purposes of "pet" I have gone with dogs. We currently have twin sprollies (Dad was a border collie and Mum was a Springer Spaniel). Having been owned by both breeds and loved both characteristics we had to go and take a look when we found a sprollie litter and ended up with two. Ten years on they still make us smile every day with their antics.
II love cats. They are always so cozy when you come home. Always 'someone' to talk to. We haven't had cats for a number of years. If you look deep into my heart, I would love to have a few cats again, but my partner doesn't want them anymore. Also because we are away from home very often.
