This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite way to add snow to a winter project (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

My favourite way is to add a few thin streaks of glue along the ground of my image and then use some ultra fine Glamour Dust glitter to create some sparkly snow at his feet.  I usually use Glossy Accents, but the bottle that's done me proud for the last few years decided to clog up this week, so I've just used my fine PVA glue pen on this project instead.

My favorite to create a snowy look is to use embossing powder.  I like that you can make it look like a snow blanket or like snowflakes falling depending on the kind of embossing powder you use.  Plus, I just love the magical properties of embossing powder of any sort.

For me, it is flower soft which you cannot buy in NZ so I went shopping online and bought out the whole store in case I ran out!

For my snow scene Iike to distress the edges and add some ink, then add some glitter or Stickles. Liquid Pearrls are very good to add some snowflakes.

A couple of years ago I have bought Deep impression chunky enamels white from Stampendous and now it is my favourite way to add snow on an image. It is a thick embossingpowder and I really love the effect it gives on your card.

For snow on the ground and on objects I like to use a glue pen and then add white glitter. I love to a bit of sparkle on Christmas cards.

I always use Star Dust Stickles to add a bit of twinkle to a snowy scene.

My favorite way of adding snow to a card is with an embossing folder. Very easy!

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I've got a lot more glitter card than mirror, and I especially love glitter (card or otherwise) for Christmas makes. I've never really liked using mirror card and find it very unforgiving in photographs, so it's an easy choice for me.

I love everything shiny!  I love the look of glitter and glitter paper, but really donÊ»t like the literal fallout.  All those little glittery flakes are pretty, but such a mess to clean up.  I do love metallics, especially when you have as much fun creating as I did making this card.

Oh my, metallic or glitter card stock, I love both equally so used both..but I think Metallic sneaks in on top...

I tend to use metallic card more than glitter card. I love the elegance metallic card can give to a special card, especially an anniversary.

I love both metallic and glitter cardstock, but for my project today I have chosen my absolute favourite: orange metallic cardstock. I love the subtle shimmer and the colour is really beautiful. I can't buy it anymore, so it is a real treasure for me.

I tend to only use glitter cardstock on Christmas cards but I do love to use metallic card when I have heat embossed anything.  It just matches so well.

Sarah
I do love a bit of snazz on my cards, especially at Christmas so golden metallic card adds just the right amount on these die cut layers.

I go for metallic. I love the shine and the extra touch on a card.
Some glitter cardstock or DP loses a lot of glitter which you find for days on your hands or face. Very annoying.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.

The winner of this challenge will receive
2 Digi Images and 2 Digi Paper Packs from our brand new sponsor:

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite Shape Cardbase (& why).
(eg slimline, square, rectangle, shaped, round etc etc)
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

We have some AMAZING samples from our sponsor's design team too,

First of all we have Amanda herself
Amanda loves to use square cards because they give you plenty of room to add as much or as little as you like without ever looking too crowded

and also the super talented

Janine's favourite card shape is a square, because she finds it the most versatile as it enables you to use lots of different shaped mats and toppers, plus there's usually enough room to layer things up.

What gorgeous cards from Amanda's Design Team

And next are the beautiful creations made by
our own Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I have been making a few slimline cards recently but my go-to shape is always a 6" square, mainly becuase it's the shape I have used for many years and I have a huge stash of blanks!  However, for a bit of variation, I've cut my square using a fancy border die so that it has a more interesting edge to it.

IÊ»m an A2 girl most of the time.  I like that it is good for standard posting most of the time and I can always add my second favorite shape, a circle, if I want to.

Used to be 6x6 square, but then I discovered how much space there is on a 6x8 rectangle, and make so many of them as the postage is still okay with them too..

I have been enjoying making slimline cards. Some images just look so much better on this design.

Most of cards are square or rectangle (also slimline) cards, but my absolute favourite shape for a card is a circle card. I love the cute shape and it looks really special. They are fun to make.

Using Daisy Sitting Among Flowers
I normally use ready made card blanks and they are square or rectangle, but when I want something a bit different I go for this Go Kreate shape. I do like it and it looks a bit more special.

Because I love order in my life, symmetry features largely too so for that reason I am, most definitely, a 6 x 6 square card kind of girl. It's easy to get a perfectly symmetrical layout and works as a tent card too. I have done something a little different here.

Square on the outside....

...and an explosion inside!

I think the mini slimline cards are a nice size. For me, that size is perfect for smaller stamps. And it doesn't take a lot of embellishments either.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
