Your Favourite: People or Animals (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I seem to veer towards critters in most of my cards and I'm a huge fan of anything cute and furry both in crafting and life in general!  I especially love kitties who are usually quite cuddly (there's nothing better than a lap full of purring kitty), but it's the bunnies at LOTV who are some of my favourite crafting critters.  I think this image featuring them sitting on their wintry log is adorable.

Samantha
Its a difficult choice and even real life I sometimes prefer animals too!
haha! SO I choose Animals and this time I have crochet a magical unicorn.
I love my animals, they are so fun to color!  Hair for humans is my nemesis, but I'm working on it!

Elaine

I much prefer colouring animals for my cards. People are a bit of a challenge for me, so I only use them when I have to.

I am definitly an animal person. I am not really happy with how I colour hair and that is why I most of the times don't colour people. And I really love cute animal, I love how many artist draw really cute scenes/images with animals and I really love colouring them.

Lynne

I much prefer colouring cute animals rather than people. They always seem more versatile   and, for me, easier to colour.

It's people for me, I love playing around with my alcohol markers trying out different skin tones.

Although I have made a lot of people cards recently, I do love the animals more,
they tend to suit more occasions and are more versatile for male or female recipients.

My favorite is animals, because they are more versatile (for me) than people.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase Your Favourite: People or Animals (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

Your Favourite Fruit (you can use its colour as inspiration (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

Along with the yummy taste, strawberries remind me of summer, picking them straight from the garden and eating them before they even make it back up to the house!

Samantha
I found this very hard to choose just one fruit as I eat most fruit
so I have cheated a little as I LOVE blue as many of you know so i have chosen blueberries
as my inspiration and used tones of blue in my Mermaid

Brenda

My favorite fruit is the lilikoi the Hawaiian name for passionfruit.  The bloom is beautiful and the fruit has a delicious unique flavor.  I love fresh squeezed lilikoi juice and lilikoi butter is so wonderful on hot pancakes.  Since I've never seen a lilikoi stamp, I used it's color, yellow, as the inspiration for my card.

Elaine

I love blackberries or as we call them in the north brambles. It is always enjoyable to pick them in the hedgerows and bring them home to make jam and jelly. Mmm I can taste it now.

Lynne

I like most fruits, but I love sweet English strawberries. When you start to see Pick Your Own signs etc. it means summer is here and Wimbledon will soon be starting and I love to watch the tennis.

Now I am partial to all sorts of fruit but my favourite fruit flavour is lemon...lemon drizzle cake, sherbet lemons, lemon cheesecake, lemon doughnuts, Thorntons lemon chocolates, lemon possett...need I go on!?

I'm not a huge fan of any particular fruit (would rather have a plate of veg) but
I do quite like a mixed fruit salad with a dollop of vanilla ice-cream.  It takes
me right back to my childhood and Sunday teatime.

Wilma

I love fruit. My favorite fruit is fresh pineapple. Delicious sweet and juicy.

So now it's over to you.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your favourite Hair colour combo (in whatever colouring medium you use...

IE: I thought it would be a good way to get people to show their favourite hair combos in whatever medium they use. EG My copic ones would be E59, E57, E35 E53 and E51.
My DIs would be Antique Linen, Brushed Corduroy and Gathered Twigs. and so on if you use pencils etc)

You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I debated using Copics which I'm more comfortable with when it comes to hair, but decided to persevere with my paintbrush.  I've used my 'go-to' colours of Antique Linen base with Brushed Corduroy, Vintage Photo and a touch of Ground Espresso working up to the darkest bits.  Considering there's not much in the way of hair in this image, I've managed to use 4 shades!  Brown hair is my favourite probably because I have more browns than any other colour. Obviously nothing to do with it being the colour of chocolate (although that certainly helps!)

Samantha
I love brown highlighted, because it's my own colour and it's the one I find easiest to do.
I used Spectrum Noir pens for this one - EB1 & 2 GB8, GB9 & 10.

I love red hair or hair with red highlights.   It was the colour of my hair before it started turning "blonde".  I love that in certain light it can look brown, but add light and it turns fiery.  I used Copics in E08, 15, 17 for this little redhead.

I love mousy brown hair with highlights because that was the colour of my daughter's hair when she was little.
I used Promarkers Buttercup, Putty, Tan, Caramel and Cocoa.

For the hair I used the following prisma colour pencils: PC941 Light umber, PC 1082 Chocolate and PC 946 Dark brown. I really love the colour PC 1082 chocolate. First because of its name ;) and second because of the warmth of this colour.

Lori

My favorite hair colour is brownish/blonde...I used Copic Markers E50, E31, and E25 for my hair on this cutie! I like making highlights in the hair and this combination is light and easy to do that with!

Lynne

My favourite hair colour combo in Copics for this particular card is E40, E41, and E42 with a touch of E43 because this cute little fairy looks just like my niece so I  coloured the hair to match hers.

Promarkers are my medium of choice and for hair my "go to" colours are Sandstone, Caramel, Cocoa, and Umber, in that order. They blend nicely and always give good results.

When I do brown hair (a favourite because it always feels so warm), I use a light wash of Frayed Burlap Distress Ink (ReInker) and then get busy with the Polychromos Pencils (Brown Ochre, Nougat, Bistre, Van-Dyke Brown, Walnut Brown)

My favorite hair colour is brown, which used to be my hair colour in the older days -lol-.
When I color the hair of an image/digi it is often brown and with Copic Markers # E25, E31, E41, E43.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your favourite Hair colour combo (& why).
