Favourite Halloween or Fairies (and why)

Welcome to As You Like It Challenge

Our fortnightly challenge is a home for you to create something
which gives you a warm "inner glow" of pride, without lots of entry rules.

Usually we provide options for you to choose from.
You just need to select and use your favourite option in order to join in.

For a chance to win our prize or top-3 spot,
you need to tell us why you've made your choice.
That way our team and readers can appreciate why it's your favourite.

eg, if the theme is 'favourite animal' and you decide on 'bunny', tell us why.
eg, you love Thumper, the rabbit from Bambi !

So get crafting and remember to have fun
and enjoy your crafting time.

Thank you to everyone who entered our last challenge.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite: Halloween or Fairies (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I'm not a huge fan of fairies, and although I don't technically celebrate Halloween, I do love the decorations.  We usually get dozens of Trick or Treaters visit the house because we live very close to one of the largest schools in our town, so there are a lot of kiddies (some not so "little" kiddies) who dress up to ring the doorbell demanding treats.
Rather than make a card, which I don't tend to send for this holiday, I'm sharing some home decor in the form of a crocheted pumpkin that I've made using some fluffy chenille wool.

Itʻs funny, I donʻt send Halloween cards, but I sure do love making them.  There are so many fun images out there and I love making night skies with giant full moons.

Halloween, for me, I don't celebrate it here in NZ but I love the spooky stuff, the grunge and colours.

Halloween. I love making Halloween boxes for my Grandson and filling them with nice treats.

I really enjoy making halloween cards, so this was a really easy choice. I love the fabulous images and the funny colour combinations you can use on halloween cards. You can make really scary cards, but cute halloween cards are also very fun to make.

I've gone with fairies as I don't make halloween cards, but maybe when the grandchildren are a bit older it will be a different story.

I am partial to a fairy or two, what's not to love with their pretty faces and gossamer wings!? I'm not usually a fan of Halloween but my 6 year old granddaugher is, so I included both and made a card featuring fairies and a nod to Halloween to send to her later in the month!!

We don't tend to celebrate Halloween at all, but I always end up making one or two
cards for friends who do, and anyhoo, who actually needs an excuse to get the gargoyles out!

Halloween for me. I don't really know why because it's not a 'celebration' in the Netherlands. Although it is becoming more and more popular. For sure  it's the colours that I really like. And the scary pumpkins. I always make a card for a former colleague who lived in America for years. She appreciates that very much.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.
