This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite: Square or not (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

Square cards are my favourite standard shape cardbase. I caveat that by saying I still love a fancy shaped card, like an apron shape for a food related image, or snowflake shaped cards for Christmas, but for my go-to cards, it's always a 6" square. Maybe it's the symmetry of them, but there's plenty of space for an image, pretty papers, and some fancy bits.  Today's card is for my Brother-in-Law, so I've kept the fancy bits limited to some fonts with a personalised typed sentiment.

I usually work with A2 sized rectangular card bases.  I do this because it is easy to find envelopes and simplifies posting.

I usually make square cards, but occasionally it is nice to create a slimline card. I think this shape can be rather elegant and suit the subject well.

I love making square or rectangle cards, but if I have to really make a choice square cards are my favourite. I love the space, especially when I want to create a little scene.

I make both square and rectangle cards, but square is my favourite as I find it easier to fit everything in. I normally use 6" square, but this one is 7".  I definitely needed it with the large sentiment.

I am making more rectangle cards these days. In a bid to use up my cardstock I have been making two card blanks from a single A4 sheet.

Square is fine for me. I don't often make square cards but I like the space.
More space for embellishments.
With this card I didn't want to use too many embellishments because the paper is so beautiful.

It's over to you.

We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.
