This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite Layered or Flat Card (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I really like making layered card with 3D elements, my favourites being flowers and ribbons. Many of my cards feature images framed with paper flowers and a double bow (a bowmaker is fabulous for this).  It does make mailing more bulky, but I love the effect of making it look more crafted than store-bought.

I lean towards layers on most of my cards.  I like adding texture to my cards in the form of die cuts, often times sequins or jewels and I like popping up images for a little extra interest.

I have been making cards a bit flatter these days. This is due to the postage increase for thicker items. I do like a few layers as this gives some dimension to a card.

Almost all my cards are flat or with just one layer, I don't like adding a lot of bulk on my cards.

I love to have layers, but if the card is being posted they have to be as flat as possible.

Layers but stuck down tightly. I have a love of patterned paper so I tend to use multiple pages from the same stack for co-ordination. That said, the cost of postage has risen again in the UK so my layers are no longer raised with pinflair glue gel!!

As Elaine stated the postage increases (also in the Netherlands) so I lately make flat (as possible) cards. But this one is somewhat thicker but still under the price for one stamp 😄. Very thicker or intricate cards I rather give them personally.

It's over to you.

We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.
