Favourite Christmas Colours - Modern or Traditional (and why)

Welcome to As You Like It Challenge

Our fortnightly challenge is a home for you to create something
which gives you a warm "inner glow" of pride, without lots of entry rules.

Usually we provide options for you to choose from.
You just need to select and use your favourite option in order to join in.

For a chance to win our prize or top-3 spot,
you need to tell us why you've made your choice.
That way our team and readers can appreciate why it's your favourite.

eg, if the theme is 'favourite animal' and you decide on 'bunny', tell us why.
eg, you love Thumper, the rabbit from Bambi !

So get crafting and remember to have fun
and enjoy your crafting time.

Hello again regulars and a warm welcome if you are new here. It's Sarah hosting today and as your host it's up to me to share the good news from our last challenge.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite Christmas Colours (modern or traditional) & why.
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

using Polar Bear from Winter Wonderland bundle
Although I can apprecaite the warmth of deep reds, golds and evergreens at Christmas, I really love soft pinks and purples at Christmas too. I've used one of my favourite wintry papers on this pastels card with some pink accents.

I love Christmas in any color, but tend to make cards with traditional Christmas colors.  I love them because right away, red and green make me think of my favorite time of the year, Christmas!

I used to be very traditional but my favourite these days is modern,
especially white and grey..

I usually make Christmas cards in traditional colours, but occasionally I use something different. I like this combination of a moss green and a deep pinks. It is still festive.

Using Sponsor Image: Holly Mouse
I love making christmas cards in traditional colours. I really love the red, because it really pops!

I like to use modern colours now again for a change from red and green and my favourite colours are lilac/purple.  This shade goes so well with silver.

I tend to favour cute and whimsical images so, more often than not, I team them with more modern colours. For these two I have used adorable penguins from our lovely sponsor Amanda Jayne Designs.

I flip-flop between modern and traditional colours, and this year, for me, traditional
are back in favour.  There's just something so Christmassy about the reds and greens with the occasional sprinkle of gold.

My favorite Christmas colors are the traditional colours. But I also like to make Christmas cards in modern colours. Preferably in blue.
For this challenge I'm going for the colours green and red.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.
