Favourite Colouring Medium (and WHY)

Thank you to everyone who entered our texture challenge.

Our winner is:

#2 Macarena
I'm afraid that I can't show you just one picture of Macarena's project, because one picture would not do it sufficient justice.
So I'm going to indulge you with a few pictures,
so you can behold the beauty and FABULOUS texture of her project:

I particularly love the script text on the side:

Congratulations Macarena Please email us at AsYouLikeItChallenge@hotmail.co.uk to claim your prize,
and don't forget to grab your *winners* badge below:

And our Top 4 (I couldn't drop it down to just 3) are:

Lucy Patrick
I always adore looking at Lucy's work and this one is another stunner.

Nellie
Nellie's card was just so pretty,
I loved all the flowers and the gorgeous colouring.

Kat W
What can I say ... pink, cute image beautifully coloured, stitching,
gorgeous flowers and a spot of lace.
All my favourite things in one card.
ps my b'day is in Oct, Kat!!  ;0)

Alycia Clark
This was so simple but just so elegant.
I really love this and might have to seek out the die.
The butterflies look like they're all about to take flight straight off the card.

Congratulations and please grab our *Top 3* badge to display on your blog:

So, onto our 23rd challenge

The sponsor of this challenge is

Its a small independently shop in Penrith Cumbria UK

Penrith Crafts
(please like us on Facebook to see some gorgeous goodies from the store and designs
from our very own Samantha who works there)

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite Colouring Medium (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

My favourite colouring mediums are Distress Inks
(I use the reinkers and a paint brush).
Some of my favourite designers use them, and I aspire to be a fraction as good as they are,  so I have to keep practising!
It's been my new year's resolution 2 years running to use the DIs more,
instead of reaching for the copics (which I also love!).
So here we go, watercolour painting with DI reinkers.

Samantha
Oh, it's so difficult to chose!
I LOVE all sorts of mediums for colouring but I love Spectrum Noir pens for colouring images.  The way they blend is great, and they are so quick and easy to use too...

Mojca

My favourite colouring Medium are Copics ...
They are so easy to use and I just love the variety of colours on offer.

Sarah

Promarkers for me...every time...no question!! I have been bold, in the past, and tried other alcohol markers but for blendability and precision, above all else, Promarkers are my most favourite colouring medium in the whole, wide, world!!

Suzette

My favourite  Medium is Copics.....I love vibrant colours on an image and that is what
copics do. It makes your images pop!

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite Colouring Medium (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.

The sponsor of this challenge is
Penrith Crafts
(the same shop that our very own Samantha works in)
It's a small independent craft shop (with very friendly staff!)
so please do pop in if you're in Cumbria

The prize that Samantha is offering, is some gorgeous papers,
which might give you an indication as to our theme this week
*wink* !!!

So, this fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite Papers & Why.
You MUST explain WHY they are your favourites.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

For many months, my favourite papers have been the Papermania Lucy Cromwell pad.  Each page is in one of my favourite colours; pink, aqua or purple, and most are either glittered or double sided.  And you know how, in most paper pads, there are a couple of designs that you like less than the others ??  .... well in this set, I love them all.  I've loved this pad so much that I've bought 2 of the 6" size, and then treated myself to a 12" pad recently too (to keep in reserve)!
I've used the pink and aqua a lot recently, so today's choice is purple.

Oh my favourite papers that's quite easy I LOVE Echo park
because there are soooo many different style that suit my taste
no matter what mood I am in :)

Carol

It must be My Mind's Eye, have so many of them lol! Especially the more recent ones, all those pretty flower patterns but I also like the more boring ones as I can put my own stamp on them.

Mojca
My absolutely favourite papers are BasicGrey. They are so versatile and you can really use them for different occasions.

Sarah

My "current" favourites are from the  Joy crafts floral paper bloc - turquoise and red,
and why.....because of the pretty, ditsy prints and the beautiful colours.

Suzette

My favourite paper is K&Co, I have used them for many years and I just can't get enough, the texture the designs and the quality. I also love cosmo cricket papers too so I have combined both on this card.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite Papers.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

Hugs from the AYLI girls.
