This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite Season (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

Although I love Christmas crafting, I'm not a fan of winter and cold weather, so my favourite season is the summer with its long sunny days and warm weather.

I have to say Christmas is my favourite season. I love making Christmas cards, making anything from traditional to fun and cute.

I think every season has its own charm. For now I have picked a summer project for this challenge. We had a couple of days with rain, so I am looking forward to better weather with sun.

Spring is my favourite season. I love it when the garden comes to life with all the spring flowers after being so bare in the winter.  It also means warmer weather is on the way.

I was born in February so am a Winter baby. With the cold crisp days (and rain) comes Christmas with it's bling, sparkle and reindeer!!

I love all seasons but autumn is my favourite season. I find the changing of the leaves on the trees spectacular. Beautiful colours! There is also an 'autumn' smell in the air. Cooler weather and it gets dark earlier! Make everything cozy in the house: candles on, reading by the stove.

It's over to you.

We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite Sketch(& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

This was an easy one for me, because I revisit this particular layout very often. I like the ability to showcase 2 pretty papers with their join covered by some pretty satin ribbon across the card.  I frame a circular image panel with flowers in opposite diagonals, a double bow and a trio of flat backed pearls in the opposite corners. It enables me to use my favourite embellishments (flowers, ribbons and pearls) in a 3D card.

**coming soon**

I don't have a favourite sketch. This sketch is one I have used a couple of times for a quick card.

I have pretty simple favourite sketch that is really versatile. It is just a layer of cardstock with a border of patterned paper or cardstock under or on the sides. It gives much room for a large image or even a little scene.

If the image allows I do like this sketch. It's simple and effective.

If I am short of inspiration I visit Jules who has a plethora of sketches that she has devised over the years. On this occasion I have used Square #56

I like this sketch and I often use it. It's simple and versatile.

It's over to you.

We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

Your Favourite Masculine or Feminine (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I find masculine cards challenging (I like adding flowers and pretty papers too much!) so for me it's an easy choice of feminine.  I've teamed this cute watercoloured teddy bear with pretty springtime papers for a craft loving friend.

**coming soon**

I have chosen masculine for this challenge because it makes me think a little bit harder on the theme and colour choices.

I really enjoy making cute cards or cards with flowers, which are more suited to girls and/or women than to men. So, I prefer making my cards for women. I just find it much easier to create something for a woman than for a man.

It's feminine for me. I'm fine with children's boy cards, but adult males I always struggle for inspiration and, if I do make one, I'm normally not very happy with it.

It's feminine all the way for me. I have so many pretty papers, stamps, digitals and frilly stuff that the fellas don't get a look in!!

Lately I love to make masculine cards. I used to have trouble with those cards but these days it is getting easier. Gentlemen's cards don't need as many embellishments as female cards.

It's over to you.

We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
