This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite for Male or Female (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

Although I've not used overly girlie colours, it's definitely a feminine style. I'm far more comfortable with cute and pretty styles, especially if there can be a splash of glitter. I find the masculine styles so tough, no flowers, no pink, nothing too cute. It's just not 'me'!

I love making cards for females they are always fun and easy to make with
I always have more ideas than time to make them, But I have to choose Male
cards as they take lots of planning time and are most definitely a challenge
But I love my husbands face everytime he opens one of my handmade cards
he studies them for ages and is always so complimentary

Brenda

I love making cards, any kind of cards! I think I like female cards or tags best because I love ribbons and buttons and sparkle and bling!

Carol

Like Elaine I find male cards challenging but get a lot of satisfaction out of making them. have to put a bit more thought into them!

Elaine

using Henry Day Dreaming

Male cards are always a challenge, but give me great satisfaction when I have made one I like.

Kat

It has to be female cards for me because I love using pretty floral papers and adding all those gorgeous girly details like flowers, lace and pearls...and preferably a hefty dash of pink!

Lori

I really like making "girlie" cards - they come a lot easier to me that the masculine cards do. Adding bling, and sparkle and all the pretty colors are what draws me to female cards....FUN!!

Lorraine

I love making female cards, I find them much easier than male ones. It's because there are many pretty embellishments you can add to a girly card such as flowers, pearls and gems.

Mojca

Definitely female for me, I love decoration and glitter and colours and if you are creating for ladies that's just more easy as it is for men.

Sarah

Female...no question!! I love cute and although not usually heavily embellished, I always look at the cards I design for girls with pride and think, yep...I made that!!  Male cards are sooo difficult, nearly as bad as choosing a gift for a chap!!

Suzette

Wilma
Male for me, because that's always a challenge for me.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite for Male or Female (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite 2embellishments (& why).
You MUST explain WHY they are your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

My favourite embellishments are probably flowers and pearls as I use them on most of my cards.  I must admit that once I start adding the embellishments, I find it hard to stop, and I also like ribbon, lace and dies, the latter two also found themselves onto my card!

Samantha
My totally favourite embellishments are enamel dots and I love jute twine so
I have to say that those are my favourites

Brenda

I love them all, but for this particular card I loved ribbon (one of my very favorites) and a wooden speech bubble.  I thought they were perfect for this little Birdbrain Chick.

Carol

Im a romantic! Lace and pearls are my favourite when it comes to Wedding cards. this is my all time favourite Lace, just so so pretty.

Elaine

My favourite embellishments are ribbon and flowers. They can be as big or small as you like for different effects.

Kat

I love to make pretty cards so I always find myself reaching for my top two favourite embellishments of flowers and pearls.  Colour co-ordinated flowers make any card look special and pearls go with everything!

Lori
My favorite embellies are adhesive pearls or gumdrops...anyone who knows my crafting style knows I love to put them on just about everything LOL...they are fun, add texture and come in various sizes, some sparkle and some have patterns.

Lorraine

I love to use ribbon on my cards, especially organza ribbon and then it just seems natural to follow with pearls or gems to compliment it. I love the shimmer and sparkle of the added bling.

Mojca

I must say I like to use flowers and pearls. You can add theme to almost any project and it looks pretty :D This is a wedding book card and it makes such a perfect gift for newlyweds.

Sarah

I tend not to use embellishments very much but when I do I try to reduce my ribbon mountain and add a pearl or two for a bit of sheen and interest!!

Suzette

My Favourite embellishment of all times is ribbons and flowers can never have enough!

Wilma
My all time favorite embellishments are rhinestones and charms, they are so versatile.
The rhinestones give some bling to a card and I like to use them a lot and charms are a nice and extra touch to a card.

So now it's over to you.

We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite embellishments (& why).
You MUST explain WHY they are your favourite.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite Embossing Technique (heat or dry) (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I admit that I have done wet embossing, and actually really like the effect, but it's just so messy and extremely prone to flufifng it up with straying embossing powder.  Plus I love the appearance of the dry embossing, so that's what I've chosen.

Samantha
My: favourite has to be Heat embossing at the moment
Why? : I love that it gives me the lines I need for this water colour technique.

Carol

If I want a card in a hurry dry embossing is the way to go for me, quick and love how embossing folders and especially how I can use my dies as embossed images on a card.

Mojca

I chose heat embossing, because I just love how it looks like on a card and also because I haven't used it for quite a long time. Well, I know now why I don't use it as much, because it's really difficult to get a good result ...

Sarah

My favourite has to be dry embossing. It amazes me that by using a folded piece of plastic  you can turn a boring piece of card into something tactile and add interest to a card in seconds.

Suzette

**coming soon**

Wilma

My favourite is heat embossing. I know it's a bit messy but I like the result.
I love the
sharp and clear lines.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
