This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite Stamp type (ie Physical or Digi) (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I will admit that I have far more digi images than I do rubber stamps, and I certainly appreciate the convenience of them when it comes to storage, ease of browsing my collection and instant purchasing!  But there is still something more satisfying about getting truely inky and stamping your own image.  I've had problems in the past with printer ink bleeding when I'm watercolouring images, and times when my printer's not been playing at all, whereas my physical ink pads seem to last forever.  And finally, the brands that gave me the papercrafting bug were physical stamps (some on wooden blocks!) so it's often nice to dig out those stamps again.  Therefore, I've selected a rubber stamp from my collection for today's card.  However, I expect my laziness will kick back in and I'll revert back to digis again next week!

I have both digital images and stamps in my collection.  There are many things I like about digital images, but my favorite has to be stamps.  There just something about getting fun new images in the mail and getting all inky using them.  There are many techniques I enjoy that are best done with stamps like embossing, watercolor and paper piecing.

I use both stamped and digi images. My cardmaking began with rubber stamps and I still have a love for them. This card is using stamps, it is nice to stamp over a stencilled and inked background for a unique effect.

I enjoy working with both, but I'm really fond of the benefits digital stamps have over rubber/clear stamps. I like that I can adjust the size of the image myself and that I can flip the image if it suits my card better. They're also convenient because they don't take up space in your craft room.

I do love digis for the fact that you can re-size them especially when you make a larger card such as this one which is 7"x7".

I have LOTS of both but for co-ordination and the ability to resize, flip and replicate the same detail over and over, it has to be Digis. They are cost effective and you can find almost anything in digi form. I am sharing the perfect example as I could not find a rubber stamp with a digger anywhere!!

Mostly I use stamped images on my card. I have a lot of stamps and there is always a stamp that is right for that person of occasion.

It's over to you.

We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

Your Favourite Favourite Pearls or Gems (& why).

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I am definitely more a fan of the subtle sheen of pearls than the glimmer of gems, and I have lots of flat backed pearls in different colours.  For this project I've also added extra pearls in the form of a pin, peeking out amongst the flower embellishments.

I tend to like pearls better.  They lend a soft, elegant look to projects and go so well with a shabby chic look like this small junk journal.

I use both pearls and gems. This card is embellished with small nail art black gems. They are ideal for the edge of these poppies.

I love both gems and pearls. It depends on the project which kind I prefer. Pearls are for a more elegant look and today I wanted to use black gems, because they fit with the colours and look of my card.

I like both, but I use pearls a lot more than gems. They always seem to suit my cards better and are more elegant.

I seem to have a rather large collection of pearls, in most colours, so pearls are my definite go to. They add a lovely bit of femininity to a card or project.

It depends on the type of card I make. I felt this card needed pearls. But I also love to use gems.

So, onto our next challenge
(Sponsors from next week, just for fun this week)

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite Paper Brand (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

My favourite papers are from Nitwit Collections.  I've loved their papers since LOTV created some printed versions, but sadly most of my pads are used and I'm reliant on the digital versions.  Their papers are so beautiful and there are so many pretty papers (I must have hundreds of them) and they're my go-to papers when I need some creative motivation.  I've even paper-pieced the heart in James' arms to match the background.

I have really come to love digital papers from Pink Monarch Designs.  Anna has many digital "kits" which I also love, but so many of her different paper collections work so well together.

I like 1st Edition papers. Some are double sided and others embossing. They are great for  quick co-ordinating card.

My favourite brand is Sunny studio stamps. I love simple paper in cheerful colors with very simple patterns on it, such as stripes, checks, or polka dots and they have lots of those.

I still love my old 8" LOTV paper pads. Much easier than a 6" pad, but I have a lot of snippets to use hence my patchwork card to use some of them up.

I LOVE My Favorite Things especially for girly cards as their ditsy prints are just the right size and colour. That said they have papers to suit most card types too!!

I love my collection of Doodle Bug papers. The colours are so bright and cheerful. The designs are so pretty and versatile.

It's over to you.
