Scenes or not (& why)

Welcome to As You Like It Challenge
Our fortnightly challenge is a home for you to create something
which gives you a warm inner glow of pride, without lots of entry rules.

Usually we provide some options for you to choose from
from which you can select your favourite to join in.

For a change to win our prize or a top-3 spot,
please remember tell us why you've made your choice
so that our team and readers can understand the reason it's your favourite.

eg, if the theme is 'favourite animal' and you decide on 'bunny', tell us why.
eg, you love Thumper, the rabbit from Bambi !

So get crafting and remember to have fun
and enjoy your crafting time.

Thank you to everyone who entered our last challenge.

So, onto our next challenge

The winner of this challenge will be
invited to join us as a Guest Designer for July

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite Create a Scene or Not (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I don't often create scenes with stamps but I love to use small dies on my cards such as clouds, sun or trees. They give the effect of a scene with minimum effort and I think they look cute!

I actually thought that I preferred larger, simple images rather than having to plan out a scene using multiple stamps from a set, but I've actually then added an inky background, trees and a star in the sky, so perhaps I like creating scenes after all!

Though I do enjoy making scenes for certain images, I really love colouring and would much rather spend my time doing that.

Elaine

I don't normally create a scene. So when I bought this hedgehog die a while ago, it went into my stash. I finally got inspiration from the other dies I have and made this small scene. I must admit I did have fun creating this.

I don't make scene cards very often, but when I do make one, I really like doing it. It is a lot of work, but when your scene card is finished the result is very satisfying. I love colouring, so it was real fun to create this card.

Lorraine
I really enjoy making scenes on my cards although I don't always find it easy - I'm no good at colouring sky! Sometimes you come across a stamp that is crying out to be out in it's own little scene and I love using lots of different dies to create that background.

I don't make scene cards very often as I find them quite difficult, especially the sky part.  I need more practice!

I'm really lazy when it comes to creating scene cards - don't get me wrong, I will do them, but sometimes the faff required is more than I can face, so I do tend to make more subtle scenes, i.e. not much in them!

I don't often create 'scene' cards. But for this challenge I choose to make one. I find the Penny Black cow stamps (I love cows) very suitable for a 'scene' card.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.
