Favourite: Sketch / Layout (and why)

Welcome to As You Like It Challenge

Our fortnightly challenge is a home for you to create something
which gives you a warm "inner glow" of pride, without lots of entry rules.

CHALLENGE RULES:

Usually we provide 2 or more contrasting options for you to choose from.
Join us by using your favourite option within your creation.

To be eligible to win our prize, or top-3 spot,
you must explain why you've made your choice,
so we can appreciate why you're proud of your creation!

eg, if the theme is 'favourite animal' and you decide on 'rabbits',
maybe the reason is that you love Thumper, the bunny from Bambi !

So get crafting and remember the main requirement in creating is
to have fun and enjoy your crafting time!

Thank you to everyone who entered our last challenge.

There were others on the blogpost so do pop over to take a peek as they're all amazing!

So, onto our next challenge...

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite Sketch / Layout (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

My favourite card layout is cover a square base card with two pretty patterned papers top & bottom. I cover the join with some ribbon and add a double bow at the side. Often the image is die cut into a circle, and I'll add a posy of flowers on the diagonals. The final touch is a trio of pearls in the opposite diagaonal corners. I've used this sketch many many times, and still love the layout because it gives lots of interest, texture and embellishment to frame the image.

This is one of my favorite sketches.  I like it because itʻs not to fussy, but still interesting. To be honest, it also gave me a chance to use the stitched fishtail dies I had to have and have probably used twice in the last 10 years.

I often use a vertical strip down the left side of my card with and image or embellishment in the centre. It is one of my go to layouts which always looks pleasing.

I really love making clean and simple cards and I am not really good with using patterned papers, so I often use this sketch in some way. It has a strip of patterned paper on the side (or bottom) and then I add a large piece of cardstock, that most of the times is white. It is a simple way to use patterned paper and there is still lots of room for the image.

This is my go to layout when I'm stuck for ideas.  I think it's well balanced and I am always happy with the end result.

I use a sketch when mojo is lacking and my "go to" vault is at lovely Jules' Always With A Heart.

This is my favorite sketch at the moment. I like clean and simple cards and this sketch is perfect for me.

It's over to you.

We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.
