Favourite Gingham or Florals (and WHY)

Welcome to As You Like It Challenge

Our fortnightly challenge is a home for you to create something
which gives you a warm "inner glow" of pride, without lots of entry rules.

Usually we provide options for you to choose from.
You just need to select and use your favourite option in order to join in.

For a chance to win our prize or top-3 spot,
you need to tell us why you've made your choice.
That way our team and readers can appreciate why it's your favourite.

eg, if the theme is 'favourite animal' and you decide on 'bunny', tell us why.
eg, you love Thumper, the rabbit from Bambi !

So get crafting and remember to have fun
and enjoy your crafting time.

Thank you to everyone who entered our last challenge.
Our winner is:

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite Gingham or Floral (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

For me, ginghams remind me of a school uniform, and I'm not a huge fan of checked patterns, but I do love pretty floral papers, in particular Nitwit collections who seem to be most common in my collection!

I had 5 of these paper dolls cut and paper pieced, 2 had gingham dresses and 3 had floral.  I guess itʻs floral for me.  I love all the gorgeous floral/botanical papers that are available and I think they give these little girls a nice feminine look.

My favourite is Gingham...and floral, well, gingham, okay I used both again, I love them both, both papers from same paper pad..[ floral is on the inside]..

I love both gingham and floral, so I have used a little of both. I like to use gingham for baby cards. This card is for a more senior lady from her Great grandchildren so a bit of floral seemed appropriate.

I really love using gingham paper, although I don't use it very often, but this challenge was the perfect occasion to use it on my card. I think gingham paper is easier to use than the busier looking floral patterns.

I use gingham now and again, but am definitely more of a floral person.  There are so many different pretty papers about and, as I send the majority of my cards to the female gender, they are much more suitable for my needs.

Tricky this was...gingham, floral, gingham, floral...in the end I went with floral papers as I appear to have more of those than anything else in my stash. Every colour imaginable!! I love to colour match and in this case everything came from the same paper pad.

It wasn't an easy choice as I do like using both, but for this one I have gone
with gingham as it worked well for paper piecing the ribbon and framing

Flowers for me. I love flowers, I like the colours and the variety of them. A vase of beautiful flowers makes me happy.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.
