Favourite way to add snow to a Winter Project (and why)

Welcome to As You Like It Challenge

Our fortnightly challenge is a home for you to create something
which gives you a warm "inner glow" of pride, without lots of entry rules.

Usually we provide options for you to choose from.
You just need to select and use your favourite option in order to join in.

For a chance to win our prize or top-3 spot,
you need to tell us why you've made your choice.
That way our team and readers can appreciate why it's your favourite.

eg, if the theme is 'favourite animal' and you decide on 'bunny', tell us why.
eg, you love Thumper, the rabbit from Bambi !

So get crafting and remember to have fun
and enjoy your crafting time.

Thank you to everyone who entered our last challenge.

So, onto our next challenge

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite way to add snow to a winter project (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

My favourite way is to add a few thin streaks of glue along the ground of my image and then use some ultra fine Glamour Dust glitter to create some sparkly snow at his feet.  I usually use Glossy Accents, but the bottle that's done me proud for the last few years decided to clog up this week, so I've just used my fine PVA glue pen on this project instead.

My favorite to create a snowy look is to use embossing powder.  I like that you can make it look like a snow blanket or like snowflakes falling depending on the kind of embossing powder you use.  Plus, I just love the magical properties of embossing powder of any sort.

For me, it is flower soft which you cannot buy in NZ so I went shopping online and bought out the whole store in case I ran out!

For my snow scene Iike to distress the edges and add some ink, then add some glitter or Stickles. Liquid Pearrls are very good to add some snowflakes.

A couple of years ago I have bought Deep impression chunky enamels white from Stampendous and now it is my favourite way to add snow on an image. It is a thick embossingpowder and I really love the effect it gives on your card.

For snow on the ground and on objects I like to use a glue pen and then add white glitter. I love to a bit of sparkle on Christmas cards.

I always use Star Dust Stickles to add a bit of twinkle to a snowy scene.

My favorite way of adding snow to a card is with an embossing folder. Very easy!

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.
