Favourite Colour Duo & Why

Welcome to As You Like It Challenge

Our fortnightly challenge is a home for you to create something
which gives you a warm "inner glow" of pride, without lots of entry rules.

Usually we provide a few options for you to choose from.
You just need to select and use your favourite option in order to join in.

For a chance to win our prize or top-3 spot,
you need to tell us why you've made your choice.
That way our team and readers can appreciate why it's your favourite.

eg, if the theme is 'favourite animal' and you decide on 'bunny', tell us why.
eg, you love Thumper, the rabbit from Bambi !

So get crafting and remember to have fun
and enjoy your crafting time.

Thank you to everyone who entered our last challenge

Our winner is:

Helen made this fabulous calendar for her Aunt using a different Penny Black image for each month, what a lovely idea

Please email us Helen at AsYouLikeItChallenge@hotmail.co.uk to claim your prize,
and don't forget to grab your *winners* badge below:

As always it was very hard to choose, because this challenge ran over the holidays many of the entries were Christmas cards and here are our Top 3...

Congratulations ladies, please grab our *Top 3* badge to display on your blog:

So, onto the first challenge of 2021

The sponsor of this challenge is

Lawn Fawn

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite Colour Duo (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I didn't have to think long about this one - pink and green is my favourite colour combination. I love to use a bright zesty green with pale pink and I think they look lovely together

I've always preferred pastels than brights, in particular pink and blue; the feminine pink offset with the baby blue.

I love the combination of green and gold, especially for cards that need a certain solemnity.  I feel these colors add a lightness which is often welcomed during times of difficulty.

I love the combination of pinks and greens because it can be so pretty and fresh.

I have different favourite colour combinations which I use very much during a certain period. At the moment I really love red and black together. These colours together really pop!

One of my favourite colours is lilac and I'm happy to team that up with any other colour, lilac and green, lilac and blue and in this case lilac and black.

I do like many colour duos, but this time I have gone for yellow and green because I think it is so fresh looking and reminds me of Spring.

I love the natural combo of peach/pink and turquoise which remind me of summer days.

I like lots of colour duos, and use them in phases, but it always comes back to the same one - brown and turquoise - I love the earthy, warm, tones of the brown contrasted by the bright, ethereal, sky quality of the blue.  Land and sky is what is comes down to.

I Iove this colour combination. Turquoise is one of my favorite colours. It make me think of the beautiful colours of an ocean. And it matches perfectly with purple.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.
