This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite Season(& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

Although I like crafting for Christmas, my favourite season is summer. I love the longer days, the warmer weather and the brighter skies. I like to think that my honeybears are enjoying playing in the garden on a summer's afternoon.

Hmmmm Difficult for me! The fact I LOVE spring for all the plants and flowers in my garden start coming back to life and the trees start budding up and flowering! However!!! For making cards...

IT has to be Winter Why? Because when Winter comes Christmas is not far behind!
I LOVE Christmas with all the baking and Christmas card sending..
for my project this time I have made a Christmas card with a poinsettia stamp and some distress inks

Brenda

My favorite season is Spring.  I love the promise of new beginnings that Spring brings.  I love all the color that springs forth after the essentially colorless months of Winter.

Carol

I love them all but going with Autumn, so love the countryside as the trees begin to turn array of warm glowing colours and nothing like sitting in front of an open fire, dimmed lights and the wind howling outside.

Elaine

I love the Christmas season. I am not fond of the cold weather, but I do love the hustle and bustle of Christmas. The preparation of the food, baking the cake, making cards and making Christmas projects with my Grandson. All very satisfying.

Kat

My favourite season for card making is Winter because I love all the gorgeously festive images, beautiful snowflakes and I love adding sparkle to my Christmas creations!

Lori

Winter!! I used to love Spring and Summer more but for the past 10 years or so, Winter is my "down time." A time for me to not worry about yard work (except snow removal) and I get to crochet, make cards, light candles and hunker down! Of course, it's also because the HO-HO-HO holiday is in there too and I LOVE Christmas! Cheers!

Lorraine

Although I love making Wintry Christmas cards and items I'm really not a fan of the cold weather - may favourite season is Summer. I love the warm sunny days spent in the garden relaxing and if I had a swing I would be doing just as Emily is. This is a topper by Hobby House using Emily from Sylvia Zet.

Mojca

I love summer, because it's warm and days are longer, you can relax and most impotently enjoy your favourite ice cream everyday ;) This teddy bear really reminds me of summer, I also added bright sunny colours. Can't wait to be summer again :))))

Sarah

Winter!! Simply because 'tis the season to be jolly fa la la la la, la la la la!!

I can't help but love Christmas, even though the men in the house think I'm bonkers!!
Woe betide anyone who dares to mess with my tree and don't even get me started  on my dressers!! I love the preparation, anticipation and the lovely feeling I get from conjuring up memories of Christmases past both when I was small and those shared with our Sons when they were little too.

Suzette

Well my favourite season is summer, I can't get used to winter at all, maybe it's because I am from the Caribbean where it is always hot and we don't have snow...but I must admit I do love snowmen and I love to draw them too....so here is a couple a drew and water coloured.

My favorite season is winter. I love the weather, snow and the long and dark evenings. Coming home in a warm house. I like December 5th (Dutch Santa Claus) with gifts and sweets. Decorating the house and tree.

So now it's over to you.

We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite Season (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite Layout (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I love this layout which showcases two complementary papers on each half of a square card base with a ribbon covering the join.  I often also pop a bow using the same ribbon at the side of the image panel using a pearl brad to hold it in place, and of course my trios of pearls in the corners.

Ohhhh This is my favourite because it is C&S and so quick to
make and Its my own sketch and its my go to when I am in a rush or if i just want the image to speak for itself....

Brenda

I love any layout with banners.  This one is so simple, no fuss but still interesting.

Carol

Use this kinda layout when using a sentiment as the focal point and because it shows of the pretty papers perfectly.

Elaine

This is one of my favourite layouts. I use it often and it always looks good, even when rotated.

Kat

Any layout with this lovely shaped base is always a favourite for me, and I especially loved adding all the details around the central image circle for this design...it even makes it easy to add a name and age!

Lori

I have a few favourite layouts but I especially like the CAS layouts where the main image is the main focal point - to me, your eye is drawn immediately to that image and it really makes a statement!

Lorraine

My favourite layout has lots of layers, I like the interesting detail you can achieve with the dimension. I am in to using Dies at the moment so this is my card, using dies and lots of layers.

Mojca

I must confess that I like square shape layouts because I think the image really has it's moment there. This one is one of my favourites because the sentiment also really stands out.

Sarah

I am really enjoying sketches at the moment and this particular layout is a favourite as it showcases patterned papers beautifully.

Suzette
I love to see cards that have lots of layers on them...It gives them depth and interest and almost a 3D effect.

Wilma
My favourite layout is `simple`. Not to many layers because I like to see a lot of the DP I use on a card. Mostly I use 3 or 4 layers, but that also depends on the sketch and the stamp that I am going to use.

So now it's your turn.
We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite Layout (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite Land or Sea (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

Although I live by the sea and love the beauty of the coastal views, I'm actually not very fond of boats and can't remember the last time I ever went in the sea.  I'm more of a country girl!  I love the changing seasons represented in the fields, trees and animals. I like the romance of country farmhouses and open gardens. And despite the aching limbs which I end up with, I do actually quite like tending the land in my own garden, growing veggies and flowers amongst the mass of weeds.  So today's card for me represents land, with a spot of gardening.

For my Favourite I have to choose land,
I think all of my loves are on land, I love the way the field look in the summer farmers working the land, I love the animals the land is home too and love gardening and growing fruit and veg too! I have several chickens, ducks, Geese, 2 rabbits and a guinea pig
So you see I just can not do sea!
Plus I don't like Sharks! ARRRGH!

Carol

I love the Sea, find it very relaxing. Nothing better than a stroll along the beach at Cullen after a fish supper and finished off with their yummy Ice-cream lol! I am very lucky to live on the NE coast of Scotland where we have many to pick from.

Mojca

I just have to pick the sea. Fresh air, relaxing and of course swimming in the sea is something I love and I hope I'll be lucky enough this year (after a long time) to managed to get to shore and afford a little bit of summer pleasure.

Sarah

As a girl my Dad, Mum, little Sis and I spent every weekend and school holiday staying at our static caravan at West Bay on the Dorset coast, so although a country girl at heart a part of me belongs to the sea and I hope that we will retire to the coast some day.

Suzette

I love mermaids they are so sweet...So I choose sea as my pick for this challenge. The shell is from my little daughter's collection of shells from our last holiday.

Wilma
My favorite is the sea. On vacation, we like to go to a place on the coast and lie on the beach and swim in the sea. I love to take a walk along the coast and feel the sand  between my toes.  I also like boat trips at sea when the weather is good.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite Land or Sea (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.
