This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite Card Shape or Fold (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I love this Go Kreate Lables die;
the largest of the set makes a beautifully shaped card.

I also like tent-fold cards the best, I'm not sure why,
but I find them much easier to photograph than side-folds!

Samantha

This was a difficult one of me because I nearly always make square cards and love them
but this is also a card shape I love too.  It's very simple; you just trim off about 2 inches from the end of the card front, and add your image layer so it hangs over.

Carol

I love this shaped card, not sure what its called.

I love it cause there's plenty of squares to dress up or down.

Mojca

I just love easel cards, especially this kind of twisted one. They are so unique and special.

Sarah

Stepper cards are my favourite "alternative" card shape/fold. I love that you can dress them up as I have done here. I usually make my own but on this occasion I discovered a ready made card blank that was a little bigger than I'd normally make and suited the sponsor's image perfectly!!

Suzette

I love shape cards as they are different from your everyday cards plus they lend themselves to all different embellishments

Wilma

An easel card is my favourite card shape. I must confess I don't use it very often, because I only use it for very special occasions or persons. It is easy to make and the result is always special.

So now it's over to you.

We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite Card Shape or Fold (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

Hugs from the AYLI girls.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite Christmas Embellishment (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I've opted for a modern image,  but I guess my chosen red and green colours are fairly traditional!  However, it's cute and therefore feels very modern rather than traditional like a nativity or wintry scene.

I choose Modern as my favourite.
Zentangle has been around for years but I love the modern twist we have seen in the recent year...
Although I don't class my card as zentangle... more like doodling.

Carol

I like both but going with modern as I thought this little Christmas tree looked great embossed in white against the black.

Mojca

I like traditional! Lovely green and red colours and cute Christmas images as these owls definitely are :)

Sarah

A modern style Christmas  card  for me every time.
 Why? Because I can't resist a cute little person or a fluffy bear !!

Suzette

 I think owls are cute and so I have also added some googly eyes to my owls and went with a mainly white theme to showcase the image and added some fluffy stuff for snow on the die cut trees.

My favourite Christmas style is traditional. I love the colours green and red, especially the bright colours.  And I like to use images of cute snowmen.

So now it's over to you.

We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite Christmas Style (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite 2 Embellishments (& why).
You MUST explain WHY they are your 2 favourites.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

Pearls and ribbons have been my favourites for a long time.  I love the softness of the ribbon, and creating a little trio of pearls, usually to fill a corner.  I also like using pearls in the scoops of these scalloped cards.

My Favourite embellishments are Enamel dots and Bakers twine
I love both of these embellishments because they come in all different colours of the rainbow and are great on all card types.

Carol
using Little Friends
Butterflies and Pearls. I love Butterflies 'cause they are so pretty as the focal point or to dot about here and there and Pearls, one of my favourite pieces of jewellery .

Mojca
using With Love

I love ribbon and pearls. They work so gorgeous together.

Sarah
using Tess Summer Fun

When I use embellishments I will always reach for seam binding, for a lovely soft bow and pearls for a bit of texture and interest, particularly in corners or to balance the card.

Suzette
I love vintage laces and paper flowers as well as frantage....I am a vintage girl lol!

Wilma
using Harriet Witchy Ride
For me my 2 favorite embellishments are rhinestones and twine. The rhinestones give my cards a bit of bling and fill up corners or the heart of a flower. And the twine gives a playful effect behind a sentiment or flower.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite 2 Embellishments (& why).
