Final Challenge for 2023 - Anything Goes!!!

Welcome to As You Like It Challenge

Our fortnightly challenge is a home for you to create something
which gives you a warm "inner glow" of pride, without lots of entry rules.

Usually we provide options for you to choose from.
You just need to select and use your favourite option in order to join in.

For a chance to win our prize or top-3 spot,
you need to tell us why you've made your choice.
That way our team and readers can appreciate why it's your favourite.

eg, if the theme is 'favourite animal' and you decide on 'bunny', tell us why.
eg, you love Thumper, the rabbit from Bambi !

So get crafting and remember to have fun
and enjoy your crafting time.

So, onto our last challenge of 2023!!!

This fortnight's challenge theme is a super easy one to end the year:

ANYTHING GOES!!!

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

Hubby came home with a late request for a Gonk themed Christmas card for his colleague so I've used today's open theme to catch up with my last minute Christmas cards and have created this sweet card.

I love making Christmas cards, especially when I can use fun images like this one from Last Minute Manda.

Using sponsors image - It's Snow Time,I wish sometimes that I
had snow at Christmas time...

using one of our sponsors images

I made a christmas card for my aunt

I'm having a first play with a recent birthday present.

In a bid to use some of my paper mountain, I am sharing a paper tree decoration, that would actually double up as a tag on a present.

I always like to make at least one LOL Christmas card for one of my rather quirky friends, and this particular image just made me roll with laughing.  The reindeer's face!!

My colleague is getting married in 2024 and he would like a homemade card from me. So I complied with his request. I chose a fun fold card because I think a standard card for such an event is a bit boring. (bad pictures, sorry)

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite Person to Make for at Christmas (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

Although I enjoy crafting as a hobby, it's far more motivating when I know the recipient of my project will appreciate the hours of creative work you've poured into your project.  I particularly like making for my Bestest Crafting Buddy who also happens to be my Partner in Crime when it comes to buying more stash (although to be fair, no encouragement is usually required!)

I've made a tag to decorate an Advent calendar that I've made with a few crafty bits inside. I can't disclose what's inside because she won't start opening the doors until tomorrow and I don't want any spoilers, but I hope she enjoys opening the doors as each day arrives. I can at least share the tag which she should have already seen by now, in preparation for tomorrow's 'Grand Opening Ceremony'!

My favorite "person" to make for is our puppy, Koa!  He is a new member of our family, and I loved crocheting this Christmas fuzzy lei for him.  I canÊ»t say he particularly excited about it, but I love that he looks so cute and festive.  He will look great in our family pic.

My favourite person to make for, [and a bit difficult as we have two more]...
would be Hadley, my great grandson..

Inside..

and out..

I love making cards for my Grandson. It is fun to choose an image and colour  it and see the smile when he opens it.

I love making christmas tags for my family. I use them on presents and they love them. This one is for my very sweet mother, just because she is the best!

This year it is my Grandson.  It's the first Christmas where he is more aware of what is going on and he's already been to see Santa!

My card is for my Granddaughter Mollie Rose and I have personalised this tall one for her.

One of my favourite people to make for is my darlin' mum, she always
appreciates the time and effort that goes into creating something just for her.

My favorite person to make a Christmas card for is my friend.I know she doesn't like the traditional or cute Christmas cards. So I made this for her in somewhat modern colour scheme.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

It's definitely pingus for me!
What's not to love about these cute tuxedo-wearing waddlers!

In a recent challenge, I let everyone know how much I love teddy bears, so I chose a Christmas bear.  They are so cute and cuddly.

My favourite critter by a country mile is Barry..
He is a little charmer..

I love these Christmas puppies. They are ideal for my Daughter and Son in law's Christmas card as they have 2 springer spaniels. The only difference is Lupin and Rosie are not that quiet for long!

It won't be a surprise that I have chosen for a 2 little mice. A mouse has always been my favourite animal. I think they are really adorable and I love their funny big ears.

It has to be a reindeer for me and especially one with a red nose! It wouldn't be Christmas without a Rudolph.

Without question my favourite christmas critter is the lovely James!! Christmas just wouldn't be the same if I didn;t ink one of my LOTV grey rubber James stamps.

I do love a teddy for Christmas, something cuddly, cheery, and comfy to hug

My favorite Christmas critter is a (Penny Black) cat. I have several really cute Christmas cats from Penny Black. This is one of my favorite. They are so cheery.
