This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite Anything but a Card (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I have a real weakness for cute little boxes so I've made a milk carton box and a pillow box (using dies from Lawn Fawn) in Spring coloured card and decorated them both with a Spring lamb image.

Well is seems that we here at As You Like it could start a Crochet group too
hhaha because I LOVE Crochet so my No-card project has to be a crochet item.
I made this hat for my grand-daughter and the little gift bag to wrap it for Easter as she can not have cows milk so I figured that I would make her something instead.

Brenda

I love all kinds of crafting, but one of my favourites is crochet.  This is a "fuzzy lei" I made to use as a hat band.  It is crocheted with 4 different speciality yarns.

Elaine

I loved making these Wedding good luck gifts. They are easy to make and look very pretty.
They can easily be personalised too.

Kat

My favourite non-card projects are any kind of gift bag or box...or in this case...basket!
I love the creativity of making a 3D item  and then being able to decorate it, and it's such a lovely way to present a gift...you can see what I put in these  baskets on my blog!

Lori

When I am not card making, I am an avid crocheter ;) I have a little side-business called Caffeinated Creativity (coffee and creating - my life! xoxo) and so I thought I would showcase one of the many infinity scarves I have made and love to create. This is my daughter, Kimberly, modeling for me :) This pattern is from Bella-Coco.

Lorraine

I love decorating wooden trinket boxes and this one was for my Mother-in-Law

Mojca

I love making notebooks and this one is special with a sentiment "Live your dreams". I hope someone will write some lovely thoughts in to this one :)

Sarah

My favourite "Not a card" is a wall hanging, it still incorporates the skill of planning and designing, as with a card, but can be on display all year round.

Squirrel

I love the excitement of receiving interestingly wrapped gifts, so I always try to make the effort to give in the same way.  I am really into gift bags and boxes at the moment, bags for the awkward shapes of course!

I have not done crochet for a very long time as that is where my creativity started, I love these little stuff toys and decided I am going to start making a lot of different ones when I get a chance so here is my first little bunny.

I like to wrap up little presents in a self made bag or envelope. For this challenge I made a little bag and tag.

So now it's over to you.

We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite of our options.
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to win the prize.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

Hugs from the AYLI girls.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite Line on our Bingo Board (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I love quite a few of the lines, but my favourite embellishments are usually ribbon & pearls and I do love a spot of purple, so I've opted for the backwards diagonal line.

My Favourite line is the middle vertical line I LOVE C&S so had to try to incorporate
that in my line but as many of you already know I am NOT a pink lover so it has to be purple..
soooo lavender is purple and so are my gems

Brenda

My favourite line is fussy & fancy, lace and pearls.  I love layers which translates to fussy for me and with this image, how could you not want to fancy it up? I felt the doily would give a wonderful lacy look for this card and pearls are my favourite type of bling.

Elaine

My favourite line is Gems, Purple and Clean and Simple. I love the CAS look for wedding cards. The purple happens to be the colour for the couple getting married next month and the little gems are heart shaped.

Kat

My favourite line is fussy & fancy, lace and pearls because I love to use lots of layers and pretty details

Lori

I did the middle row up/down "gems, purple and CAS" - I love gems, and this image was perfect for the purple colour and CAS design :)

Lorraine

This Bingo board was great for me as I loved all the choices but in the end I went for the top horizontal line, FUSSY & FANCY - GEMS - RIBBON.
I love making cards with lots of details, elements and layers so this line was perfect for me.

Mojca

I went for LACE-PURPLE-DIES. All of three are my favourite, I just love using lace on cards, it gives such lovely texture and lovely shades of purple are perfect for the spring time that's just waking up and of course dies, just can't do without them - I used lovely Marianne Design flowers which also remind me of spring (which is also my favourite time of year).

Sarah

I've gone for Pearls, Clean and Simple and Pink. I don't often put too much fuss on my cards so this line suited me perfectly.

Squirrel

It was a no-brainer for me - CAS, purple and gems!

Suzette

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite Method of Embossing (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

When I first started stamping I loved wet embossing, but often got messy.  Now I really love dry embossing because I think it seems to give a really professional effect, and here I've used a really simple Swiss Dots embossing folder to create a panel across the top of my card.  I've also used a flower die that I've embossed and inked to give it some definition.

I have to say my new favourite is Embossing paste I love the texture and wow it provides
especially the white onto kraft cardstock.

Brenda

I love texture!  I guess that's why I love embossing so much.  I have to say heat embossing is my favorite, the process is magical to me.  I used both embossing paste and heat embossing on my project for this challenge.

Elaine

My favourite is dry embossing. I love the stunning effects it creates.

Kat

My favourite type of embossing is heat embossing using Frantage embossing powder as it gives such a pretty delicate finish  and complements the slightly shabby chic look that I love.

Lori

My favorite is dry embossing - I love how it adds quick, FUN detail to a project and gives it some texture:

Lorraine

My favourite is dry embossing, there are so many beautiful embossing folders out there to choose from that give such interesting texture to your project.

Mojca

I prefer dry embossing to heat because when I try to do good heat embossing something always goes wrong, the dust doesn't stick properly on all the parts and so I usually give up :) Also dry embossing gives you lovely 3D look on the paper.

Sarah

I couldn't decide so have included both on my card. Love the texture and interest that both dry and heat embossing give.

Squirrel

I used to heat emboss a lot, before I discovered Memento ink for stamping, but nowadays I barely do it at all.  I have been experimenting recently with embossing with cutting dies and am getting some interesting results.
