EXCITING NEWS

Any our new challenge

Thank you to everyone who entered our last challenge
seems that Sport was a little bit of a tough challenge for a lot of you!

We had a handful of entries so we can have a winner

and
Our winner is:

Who made this fab card and her write up is priceless

One of my favourite sports is fishing.  I could sit out in the little dinghy for hours.  I can forget everything when I am out on the water, dream, or solve all the world's problems,  and then get to take home something to eat!

However it takes a bit to encourage hubby as he is out there for 10 minutes and if he's not catching, he wants to go home.    He says it should be called Catching, not Fishing as otherwise what's the point?  I disagree.  I really don't mind if I don't catch anything all day... being out there is the point!

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite Single Colour (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

For me it simply has to be pink. I love several soft pastels,
but pink is the colour of pretty flowers and blossom.

I have to say my most favourite colour is blue
I love the depth you get with blue and love that is has so many uses with other colours too.. ie mixing red and blue and getting purples.. etc but for this card I have concentrated on just blue!

Brenda
I have always loved blue the most, it makes me think of the beautiful Pacific Ocean that surrounds our island home.

Carol
Always been a blue fan and this blue/violet shade is my favourite at the mo, reminds me of Lavender growing in my garden, moving gently in the wind giving off its lovely scent.

Elaine
My favourite colour is blue - my daughter has the most beautiful blue eyes and when she was a little girl I would often dress her in blue dresses. Now as a grown woman she still favours blue.

Kat
My favourite colour is pink, it's just so pretty and girly, which suits the style of cards I love to make.

Lori
I have many favorite colors, but when I made cards, I tend to "veer" towards Cherry Cobbler or RED....CC is very a very rich, deep red and goes well with so many different combinations....

Lorraine
My favourite colour has always been RED, even when I was a little girl I always loved red things. I love the warmth and vibrancy of this colour and maybe I'm just a little bit fiery by nature?

Mojca
At the moment mine is definitely green. I think it's such a soothing colour for the eyes ... if you just imagine meadows, trees, frosts ... I love nature, so green does it for me ;)

Sarah
It's blue for me, although I rarely wear blue (except for jeans) it HAS to be a favourite because I replace more blue Promarkers than any other colour!! It's also summer skies and sparkling sea at this time of year.

Suzette

**coming soon**

Wilma
For me it is green. I don't know why but I love that colour. Maybe the color of (new) leaves on the trees and shrubs and meadows.
Sometimes I make a series of little cards to give to someone and I always like the green one the best.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite Single Colour (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

Unfortunately I'm not much of a sports fan (unless eating or sleeping count as sports).  However, I do quite a bit of walking as I walk to work every day and also usually do some kind of walking at the weekend, even if it's just walking into town and back for some noshing (there's the eating coming into the picture again!).
ps if you're interested in how I made my arc sentiment,
then there's a tutorial on my blog today.

Samantha
Ok so the only sport I do is swimming but I do not own a swimming stamp, sooooo I have decided that my favourite Sport stamp I do own is this House Mouse stamp called House-Mouse Cling Stamp - Tee Time
he is soooo cute and soo so easy to colour.

Carol

Im going with Martial Arts, only because my two gorgeous grandchildren are into it, Love watching them go through there routine and having fun.

Mojca

I love water, so one of my favourite sports is definitely swimming. It makes me relaxed and full of energy.

Sarah

Anything equestrian related is the sport for me. Simply because I love horses.

Suzette

Wilma
Definitely tennis for me. I like that game a lot.  I play at least twice a week (always outdoors). On our club, we also have a competition and I join women's doubles and mix doubles.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite Book Inspiration (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

The earliest book that I fell in love with is Winnie the Pooh, by A. A. Milne.

So both my projects today are
   1) for a child,
   2) contain a quote by the Silly Old Bear himself, and
   3) feature a cute bear.

Hmmm this is a difficult challenge for me because I was not and still am not a great reader of books... however i did enjoy reading books and short stories to the children when I worked in a nursery school and one of the stories I found and enjoyed working on is  The Hungry Mouse
The Story is a short story about a mouse who had a very bad time finding food, so I was inspired to use a House mouse image and this one with the mouse and cheese was just right.

Carol

Oh dear!! Since my head always seems to be thinking of crafty stuff, Ive opted to use a book of papers for inspiration. My favourite papers by My Mind's Eye 'Sunshine' in particular and these  I like using as they have a country feel to me but didn't go quite as planned, should of kept clear of making a man card but whats done is done.

Mojca

As it happens there are too many and I just couldn't decide for one so I made a book card...a book in literal sense. I love books by nature (I am an librarian you know :P), so there is no extra explanation needed I hope :)))

Sarah

My card was inspired by the Follyfoot series of books by Monica Dickens.  Why? Because after my family, my  animals are so precious to me and help to keep me sane!! :0)

Suzette

**coming soon**

Wilma
The Harry Potter books are my favorites. I've read them several times and also seen the films several times. I love the fantasy, humor and suspense. I think they are very well written and have a good plot. This dragon reminds me of the dragon has hatched Hagrid and named Norbert.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite Book Inspiration (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

My favourites are definitely roses in real life, particularly one called 'Sweet Juliet' which is a beautiful apricot colour and a stunning scent. But on cards, I love this little array of Cherry Blossom mixed in with the open roses and closed rosebuds.  I use it a lot (as you may know if you visit me often!).  I love that they come in so many colours and sizes.

Samantha
I always have a really hard time choosing a favourite flower
I love All flowers all flowers are beautiful
I really love this Zinnia flower stamp and think I will be using it a lot...
I am posting on my blog along with this card lots of my favorite flowers...

Carol

Love Daisies, brings the countryside into my kitchen.

Mojca

I love roses, because they are so delicate and romantic.

Sarah

Sunflowers for me every time, and why...because they are such happy flowers!!

Suzette

I love all flowers as they add that something extra to your home or your cards if you use mulberry flowers

Wilma
It's hard to choose, but the tulip is one of my favourite flowers. I live in the area where  tulips, hyacinths and daffodils are grown. And in March/April/May the fields are full of blooming tulips, hyacinths and daffodils. I love the colour, the variety and scent of these flowers.

So now it's over to you.
