So, onto our 28th challenge

The sponsor of this challenge is :
My Mum's Craft Shop

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite Colour Duo (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I think it's fairly safe to say that my three favourite colours are pink, blue and purple, but as today's theme is to use your two favourite colours, I had to choose just two.  So I chose pink and aqua blue, as I think they go beautifully together, and probably are the best combination from the three.  I hope you agree!

Samantha
My Favourite colour duo is definitely
Peacock feather Blue and Walnut Stain Brown.
Those are the distress ink colour names
but any Blues and Browns are good to go for me..
Why?
Well, I love the way they complement each other and
they play a huge role in the soft furnishings of my home too!

Carol

Blue and Cream my favourite.

I've loved blue since I was a child and these papers are so 'me'.

Mojca
I love brown-green combinations.
I think a little bit of brown really enhances the green colour.

Sarah

It's pink and green for me.
I think it's largely due to my love of  the outdoors.
Mother Nature puts colour together like no other!!

Suzette

I love all colours so it's very hard to pick just two,
but I love this colour combo as they work well together; purple and cream.

Wilma
I love this colour duo because of the sturdy darkbrown with the sweet pale blue.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite Colour Duo (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.

your Favourite Fur or Feathers (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

Definitely it has to be fur for me.  I admit that I'm not keen on things that flutter, definitely obvious nasties like flies and wasps, but even birds and butterflies.  I don't mind the birds and butterflies at a distance, but I don't like getting too close to them, nor having them fly close to my head.
So, my choice is definitely fur.
Plus I'm a sucker for anything cute and fluffy!  :0)

Samantha
My Favourite definitely has to be fur!
I have many pets of the fur and feather variety but the ones I can cuddle are the fur ones
I have many stamps that are animals of the fluffy fur covered kind you have seen many of my pets before but I have a new fur baby so you will have to pop over to my blog to see her!

Carol

I went for feather on this challenge, love seeing and hearing them chattering away in my garden, just don't let one in the house! My all time favourite has to be the Owl, beautiful birds and love hearing them hoot on a misty night where I live.

Mojca

I decided for fur, since I love all furry animals like teddy bears, rabbits and cute mice ... and this Sugar Nellie image came really handy for the occasion. The card is slightly larger in format so the cute animal image stands out.

Sarah

Fur for me every time, anything furry will do!! Like Annette I don't like the flapping that feathery things bring. It's my Grandma's fault...her budgie was always loose in her sitting room and scared the living daylights out of me as a child!! Added to which you can't cuddle a bird!!

Suzette

I really love teddy bears and I am a collector as well, so I have added some texture of fur to the bunny.  You can see it mostly on his floppy ears. Plus I have a cat as well, so it is fur all the way.

Wilma
For me it is 'fur'. I love cats. Unfortunately I have no cats anymore.  My first cat was a gift for my 8th birthday.  She was pitch black and died at the age of 19.  If you look deep into my heart, I would like to have a cat again, but we both work and we are too often from home.
For this slider card I used a Penny Black stamp.
They are so cute and they always make me smile.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite Fur or Feathers (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

No onto the challenge

The sponsor of this challenge is
Crafty Sentiments
who are offering a prize of 3 digis from their shop.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite Recycled Item (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite item.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

My favourite item to recycle is ribbon.  The piece I've used on this card was taken out of the shoulder of a purple top. You know those thin little straps they put inside the shoulders, supposedly to help them stay on a hanger, but all they seem to do is poke out the neckline so you spend all day poking them back inside!  So I cut them out and recycle them of course!  Although it's not come out too well in the photo, it's actually a lovely deep satin purple.

My Favourite item to recycle is cereal boxes.
It's great free Kraft card and you can colour it just the same as real kraft.
I have also recycled a toilet roll tube to use as a stamp; this is a fun way of adding some grunge.

Mojca using Little Friends

I really like to make these cute pots for tools from toilet paper rolls.
They're really handy and so pretty at the same time :)

Sarah using Friendship

Containers for me!!
After all we crafters need plenty of places to store our pens, pencils and so on!!

Before...

...after

Suzette

I like altering chip board shapes.  This is a door tag I covered with Maja papers.  I used lace ribbons and the pretty image is from Crafty Sentiments, called Looking Up.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite Recycled Item (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.
