The sponsor of this challenge is

Joanna Sheen
Who is offering a £10 voucher to her fabulous store

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite Fibre (eg ribbon, lace, twine) & why.
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

Although I love twine and lace too, my favourite is definitely ribbon.
I usually reach for a satin ribbon, but opted for a soft lilac gingham for my baking themed apron card.

Samantha
It's hard to choose a favourite but when I don't know what to add I make
a grab for the twine so I guess that is my favourite because it works
with anything.

Carol

It's Velvet ribbon for me, love the texture and luxury look it has.

Mojca
Definitely ribbon especially the silk one. I love how beautifully it shines.

Sarah

It's ribbon for me.  There's nothing nicer than a beautiful bow to finish off a card. I should practice what I preach really as I have drawers full of the stuff!!

Suzette

Lace, lace, give me lace any time!
I love these roll laces as you can use them as borders etc.

Wilma
I almost use twine on every card I make.
For me it's a finishing touch. So that's why twine is my favourite.

So now it's over to you.

We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite Fibre (eg ribbon, lace, twine) & why.
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

Hugs from the AYLI girls.

Do you prefer images of Animals or People (& why)

Thank you to everyone who entered our Favourite Die challenge.

It usually makes me smile me that each week when we ask to see a 'favourite' something, we often get people enter the challenge several times using different 'favourites' each time.  I admit that sometimes it's hard to choose just one favourite, and I'm guilty of changing my favourites as I find a new addiction!!

In this instance there is no doubt which die is our winner's favourite this week as she entered not once, nor twice, but 3 times, with the same amazing die, each one different, but all three are adorable.

So, without further ado, our worthy winner this week is ....

JennyH

and to prove the owl is her favourite, here are her fabulous entries:
Firstly a masculine version:

Second, a pretty pink version:

And lastly, I think my favourite one with pretty flowers:

Congrats Jenny.

and our Top 3 are

Helen
I love Helen's choice of corner die - it's fab for male cards.

Laine
A gorgeous summery card, and lovely colours.

Kat W
Amazing colouring (love her hair!) and lovely pastels. Love it.

So, onto our 31st challenge

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
either Animals or People (& tell us why you've picked that option).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite choice.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our
Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

As far as crafting style is concerned, it is definitely animals all the way for me, as I love anything cute and fluffy.  I especially love teddy bears, but this little duo from LOTV has recently captured my heart, and I've ended up with quite a few variants of them in different poses!

Samantha
I have to say that choosing my favourite between animals and people
is VERY hard indeed as I LOVE both, but I really love this House Mouse stamp
and I have used it quite a lot over the last couple of months.
It's easy for me to colour and I LOVE that I can make it C&S.

Carol

I love this image called Pippa Longsocks from Sugar Nellie.  She's cute but the icing on the cake was the cheeky looking frog at her feet. Perfect for my granddaughter who has been called the frogster since she was tiny!  Will always remind me of her!

Mojca

I must say I am more an animal fan than a people (haha in real life as well as in stamp world) because they are so cute and furry.  So I used a cute Cottage Cutz Owl die.

Sarah

I LOVE animals, in fact some of my best friends are animals!! You can achieve all manner of cards with animal stamps and images, largely due to their facial expressions, so for that reason ANIMALS for me!!

Suzette
I love Annabel from my Annabel range of stamps.  She is so fun and cheeky.

Wilma
I like them both, but  when making cards mostly I choose animals. They are so cute, funny and versatile. This Tatty Teddy from DoCrafts is one of my favorite stamps and is not complicated to colour :)

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase either Animals or People (& tell us why you've picked that option).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite choice.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

My favourite animals are cats, and I have 2 feline furbabies
from the rescue centre, called Arnie and Pickle.I've always liked cats, and I've had a long running love of tigers in particular,
but I'll keep to the more domesticated variety to snuggle at home!
This image was perfect to use to represent my two furbabies!

Samantha
Well I have 2 favourite animals so I decided to show you both
I LOVE rabbits and have some real ones of my own, this is Honey

but these are little wooden ones are laser cut blanks and I have painted them.

I also love mice as they are so cheeky, just look at this one on my bird feeder

and here my card with a cute Housemouse

Mojca

Well my favourite animals are definitely cats. They have such great characters :) It's now 2 years since my beloved pet Cuf has passed away .. I sure miss him ... hoping on getting another cat someday ...

Sarah

It is well known among my crafty friends that horses and dogs are right at the top of the list of animals that I love. However, a little known fact is that I actually have a large, welsh dresser sized, collection of pigs...teapots, vases, oven gloves, you name it I probably have it!! I have no idea where this porcine passion came from as we have never farmed them, indeed some horses tend to be terrified of them, so can only claim some weird fascination with Pink and Perky as a little one!!

Suzette

**coming soon**
