This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite Method of Embossing (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

When I first started stamping I loved wet embossing, but often got messy.  Now I really love dry embossing because I think it seems to give a really professional effect, and here I've used a really simple Swiss Dots embossing folder to create a panel across the top of my card.  I've also used a flower die that I've embossed and inked to give it some definition.

I have to say my new favourite is Embossing paste I love the texture and wow it provides
especially the white onto kraft cardstock.

Brenda

I love texture!  I guess that's why I love embossing so much.  I have to say heat embossing is my favorite, the process is magical to me.  I used both embossing paste and heat embossing on my project for this challenge.

Elaine

My favourite is dry embossing. I love the stunning effects it creates.

Kat

My favourite type of embossing is heat embossing using Frantage embossing powder as it gives such a pretty delicate finish  and complements the slightly shabby chic look that I love.

Lori

My favorite is dry embossing - I love how it adds quick, FUN detail to a project and gives it some texture:

Lorraine

My favourite is dry embossing, there are so many beautiful embossing folders out there to choose from that give such interesting texture to your project.

Mojca

I prefer dry embossing to heat because when I try to do good heat embossing something always goes wrong, the dust doesn't stick properly on all the parts and so I usually give up :) Also dry embossing gives you lovely 3D look on the paper.

Sarah

I couldn't decide so have included both on my card. Love the texture and interest that both dry and heat embossing give.

Squirrel

I used to heat emboss a lot, before I discovered Memento ink for stamping, but nowadays I barely do it at all.  I have been experimenting recently with embossing with cutting dies and am getting some interesting results.

Wilma

I love dry embossing. It's so much easier, quick and less messy.

So now it's over to you.

We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite of our options.
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to win the prize.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.

I use a number of digi stamps from several different sources but my absolute favourite character has to be  the utterly fabulous Barry from The Stamp Fairy, who is soon to be closing down :0(. I love him because he is such a versatile and busy little bear who can feature on cards and projects for almost any occasion.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Fave item to create 3D texture (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

My favourite 3D items are pearls, ribbons and flowers
I couldn't decide between them so added all three!
I also like layering my panels on foam pads to create more 3D texture

Samantha
My favourite 3D item and how to create texture
If you know me well you will know I LOVE sewing on cards so that is my most favourite way to create texture I also love crumpling die cuts the dotty border is a die cut stained and crumpled then sewn into place, and to add a little more texture a wooden flower coloured and glossy accents and a pearl added.

Mojca

I just love using embossing folders and this fence pattern looking like is one of my favourite, because it looks so fancy and elegant doesn't it?  I also love to use butterflies on my cards to get some extra texture.

Sarah
Usually my favourite technique for adding texture, without bulk, is embossing folders. However, on this occasion  I found a pad of pre-embossed core'dinations which I sanded back to reveal the raised pattern. The seam binding ribbon adds some softness too.

Suzette
Since I found the wonderful snow tex paint and frantage embossing powders I am hooked on them.  I love vintage/shabby chic cards these are a perfect combination.
Lace and flowers add the finishing touch to this card.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Fave item to create 3D texture (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
