This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite Die (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

This Nottingham border die has been my favourite for a while.  I love the pretty flowers and it's my 'go-to' die for clean and simple feminine designs.

Well I agree with my teamies this challenge was a challenge of Which die is my favourite,
OUCH! ermmmm think think think... THERE ARE LOADS! that are my favourite...
I have to say though Tattered Florals is one of my go to dies so it is definitely one of my favorites.

Brenda

This challenge is impossible for me.  I LOVE DIES!  If I were backed into a corner and threatened for an answer, I would say my stitched or pierced circle dies.  I find I seldom my a card without them, I love their finished look.

Elaine

I love my flower dies, but especially the Chrysanthamum set from Britannia dies. I think they enhance so many of my projects either as a single flower or a cluster.

Kat

My favourite die changes all the time depending on what mood I'm in!

This is my current fave because I had my eye on it for ages and finally snapped it up at a craft show for a very bargain price :-)

Lori

My favorite "go-to" dies are the stitched rectangles, squares and circles from Lil' Inker Designs....they work amazing to frame an image and give it that extra little detail it needs

Lorraine

My all time favourite die is the Floral Oval by Spellbinders. I love it because it fits all of my coloured images beautifully and sits nicely on a 6 x 6 card but equally doesn't get lost on a larger card either.

Mojca

I just love Spellbinder dies and the circle ones and scalloped ones are my favourite, they give such lovely touch to the cards.

Sarah

My favourite ( most used ) dies  are my Spellbinders large circles which, I have recently discovered, fit perfectly into my NEW favourite Stitched Circle Scallop Frames!!

Why? I just think that a circle frames most images really nicely and it appeals to my need for symmetry.

Squirrel

I wanted to rename this challenge as "Mission Impossible" - it has been so DIFFICULT to choose a favourite die (or two).  In the end I chose my favourite matting dies and a couple of my favourite (that is, most used) embellishment dies.  I could have chosen far more than three though!

Suzette

**coming soon**

Wilma

I love the butterfly dies of Memory box, but Pippi and Isabella Butterfly are my favorite dies. I love butterflies and use those dies a lot.

So now it's over to you.

We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite Die (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

Hugs from the AYLI girls.

your Favourite Occasion (& why).

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I've chosen a friend theme as I think 'just because' cards are nice to send for no other reason than to say I'm thinking of you. :0)

Samantha

My favourite occasion has to be Birth!  I LOVE that I am making something for a new baby a brand new little person... a new little someone to make lots of things for :)

Brenda

I love making birthday cards to celebrate my friends and family.  I want them to know just how special they are to me.  March and April are full of birthdays for me, so don't be surprised if you see more in the near future!

Elaine

I love to make cards for unusual occasions. They are a real challenge. The card I have made here is for a police passing out parade.

Kat

Birthdays are my favourite occasion (especially girly ones!) because I love to personalise them for the recipient and it's a good excuse to put cake on a card!

Lori

A favorite occasion of mine has to be a good 'ol birthday party!! I loved celebrating my kids' birthdays with them and now that they are older and don't do parties, etc., I thoroughly enjoy my nieces/nephews!!

Lorraine

I have chosen Birthdays as my favourite. I love the variety of styles, techniques and designs that this occasion allows. I am able to tailor my card designs to the recipients tastes and styles and enjoy creating with different mediums too.

Mojca

Well I love to make birthday cards, they can be so versatile, depending on the person you are giving it to. This one is for a really special lady who is an aerobics teacher and is always full of energy and always gets me filled up with positive vibrations :)

Sarah

My favourite occasion has to be Birthdays. I particularly enjoy making cute female  Birthday cards to order a) to see if I can stretch my creative self and b) to make use of my ever growing stash!!

Squirrel

I love making birthday cards for friends, to help celebrate their special day.  It's great that you can use such a wide variety of images, and even be really cheeky with them too.

Suzette

I love birthdays but I don't want to know my age lol! the older you get the less you want to know but I do love the other bits of it. So I think this image works well for that occasion.

A favourite special occasion for me is a wedding or wedding anniversary or
some one who turns 50.
For this challenge I chose  a wedding card which I made a few years ago. I love it and it's still my favourite . Over the years I made quite a few of these cards in commission.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite of our options.
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to win the prize.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

and our Top 3 are

Kelly's Cards

This is what Kelly had to say about her favourite layout.
I love using this layout as it's nice and simple, allows you to give extra dimension but at the same time keeping the focus on the image..

Donna's (I like any "basic" layout... and I SO prefer symmetry, lol)

Gail

Gail's -
This is my favorite layout and I love being able to use two or more papers to bring more color to my cards...and my papers are from Doodlebug.

your Favourite Die (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

I've recently bought quite a few of the stitched dies, and I'm really liking this stitched speech bubble die which I can use with my favourite Merry Christmas die.  I have a few other sentiment dies and it works great with them for an easy CAS layout.

My favourite die has to be circle its a simple die but I think it's the most useful
and cutting a perfect circle with scissors pretty much impossible!
for me anyway... Ps I told you this was my favourite layout!

Brenda

My most favorite die is this large tag die, but... this wonky cake die is also a favourite, it makes me smile!

Carol

So many favourites but going with butterflies, have many and love them all, love using them on their own or as an embellishment to finish off a card.

Elaine

I have so many dies I just love, but this heart die from Spellbinders is perfect for wedding and engagement cards.

Kat

I have used several dies on here and I wouldn't be without my circle dies, but my absolute favourite is this border die; it seems to go with everything and add just the right touch of detail, plus it was a bargain buy at a craft show too!

And when you pull the tab...

Lori

I have a TON of dies that I love to use, but my ultimate favorites are my stitched rectangles, squares and circle dies from Lil' Inker Designs....I have used one here on the navy blue panel - to me, they just add that little finishing touch to the edges of your focal point!

Lorraine

Well this was a difficult choice, I own lots of dies that I have collected over the years and I have favourites at different times but at the moment I love this large Spellbinders Oval Floral. It is big enough to accommodate large images and I think it's so pretty too framing your image beautifully.

Mojca

Well I think mine is Spellbinders Scalloped Circle. They give that cool wavy look and I just love the effect when you pile them up like I did on my card.

Sarah

If favourite means most used then it's a no brainer for me...my Spellbinders large circles get used most of all for frames, sentiments and even for rolled flowers.

Suzette

I love Ko-kreate shape dies, they make your cards look different.

Wilma
My Sizzix circle dies are my favorite. I use them a lot for sentiments or images and they are very easy to use. And when I need another size I use my Silhouette Cameo.

So now it's over to you.

We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite Die (& why).
