This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite: Dies or Stencils (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

Although I've recently bought a few more stencils this year, I still use them only a fraction as much as my dies. I must have hundreds of dies (and still collecting!) but only half a dozen stencils.  I love the intricacy of the dies, especially the ones I've used today.

I would have to say dies are my favorite and show up in my creations more often than stencils, but stencils do have a place in my heart.  There are just so many wonderful dies available and they are so easy to use and make cards look so crisp.

Chrissy
I love Stencils now that I have learned to be gentle, can't get me away from them now and I don't think I have ever made something without my dies..love dies.

Elaine

I have only just started using stencils, so I am a novice. I love dies and use then constantly. Almost every card I make has some sort of die cut on it. I love the fantastic variety of dies available. I think I am adicted yo buying them.

I do have many dies and stencils, but have to admit that I use my dies way more often than my stencils. I love that even a simple shape die makes your card look so much better! I also love making shaped cards with my circle dies, love the look of those!

Definitely dies for me. I use them all the time and they can enhance a card so easily.

It's definitelly dies for me and the snowflake one I have used here is a particular favourite. It's a lovely size as a card base and it adds such beautiful detail quickly, so perfect for batch making. The die cut scene in the centre is a one pass topper. Dies are a must have for quick detailled cards.

I do use dies a lot, but am also starting to use stencils more, especially now that there are such fabulous designs out there, so I couldn't decide and used both!

Dies for me. I do have a lot of dies and recently I inherited a lot of dies from my crafty friend who sadly passed away. I love to use them. And like Elaine I also use a die on every card I make.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
Your Favourite Circle Embelishment (eg buttons, gems, pearls, sequins) (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

My large stash of flat-backed pearls gives the game away for me; I've got them in dozens of colours. I'm not a huge fan of sequins or buttons on cards but love the sheen of a trio of pearls (or two).

I love circle embellishments.  I have to be honest and tell you I chose my favourite to match the image.  Pearls are at the top of the list, they come in such a wide variety of colors and they can look very elegant or fun .

Chrissy

Circles, I love circle embellishments on cards, I feel you can fit more on your projects and they just look good!..

Elaine

Circle embellishment are a big favourite. I love my circle dies as they are so useful to frame an image, but great for adding sentiments. Also I have a stash of sequins, brads, pearls and gems

I love using my hotfix gems as embellishment on my cards, so I had to use those on my card for this challenge. I used them in my 2 favourite ways: in the sky just as a little embellishment and on flowers.

Pearls and enamel dots are among my favourites, but definitely pearls on a wedding card as they add that touch of elegance.

It's round gems for me, they just add a little touch of "something" without adding too much bulk to the card.

Now, you all know that embellishments bring me out in a rash, so this was tough.  However, I felt quite smug about my improvised circular snowflakes on this one!

I love circle embellishments, they are so versatile. I do use them very often and I have a lot different types of circle embellishments (pearls, studs, confetti, dew drops etc.).
For this card I used my favourite Hot Fix dome studs.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
