It does depend on the occasion but I love brights. I like to add some black in there too which really makes the colours pop

I knew as soon as I saw the challenge theme that I would be choosing pastels but having now seen my card I'm worried that I've gone a little in the middle.  I much prefer the muted tones of pastels, especially pink and purple so both have featured on my card.

Hmmm, brights or pastels, it really depends on the image or occasion.  For this image, I love the pastels because they are soft and sweet, just like this cute bunny.

Elaine

Hard to decide, I do like all colours. It all depends on the mood I am in. Today I was in a pastel mood, I love these LOTV papers which inspired me to colour this image.

I like both pastel and bright colours, but I am not doing really well with pastel colours. Sometimes I try to make a card in pastel colours and then I am adding too much colour and it becomes a card with bright colours...lol. I love making Halloween cards and they really need bright colours, so I went for bright this challenge.

I love brights and I love pastels but it all depends upon the type of card I am making. I've gone for brights for this card - they just suit this little penguin so much.

For me it all depends on who the card is for and, with this card being for a baby, I have gone for pastels using my favourite baby paper pad.

Most of the time I am a bright and breezy kind of girl so it has to be bright colours for me, especially on these contemporary style Christmas cards.

I actually had to look back over cards I have already made because in my head I was thinking "pastels", but it seems that, in reality, I favour brights, quite a lot of brights if truth be told!

No question about that: bright colours. Bright colours always make me happy!

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge and show us your style.
Don't forget, you MUST explain WHY it is your favourite to be eligible to win.

Good luck, and happy crafting.

I like to use stencils to add interest to my backgrounds. This is one of my favourites with snowflakes and circles

I recently bought this brick backgrounds stencil from Dies to Die For that is really adaptable for any image.  I've tried to give a bit of shading behind my image and then used the brick stencil to give some texture to the backdrop.  I used 2 different ink pads when I was blending the bricks.

I don't use stencils a lot, but alphabet stencils are my favourite.  They are perfect when you are lacking a sentiment or when you need something bold.

I love this Hunkydory trellis. It is ideal for adding flowers and leaves but is equally good for male cards being a geometric shape.

I have many stencils, but the one that I use very often is the Mini cloud edges stencil. I love creating clouds for little scenes on my cards and pretty clouds are perfect for a scene.

**coming soon**

I don't use stencils much, but when I bought this one a while ago, I thought it could be adaptable for any recipient depending on your choice of colours.

I only have two stencils in my stash...so this is my favourite only floral one!! I really enjoyed making this card, so much so I even sprayed glitter spray through the stencil.

I have collected a few stencils over the last couple of years, but the one that is the inkiest (and therefore the most used) is my Mini Cloud Edges from MFT

I have a lot of stencils, but I use this one with the different sizes of circles each time. It is such a versatile one and I think he fits in any design or theme.

So now it's over to you.
