Oh goodness me, it's the end of July already and we have now reached our 33rd challenge

Our sponsor of this challenge is

Shape EZ

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite Papers? Please remember
to explain WHY they are your favourites!

Our fabulous Guest Designers is
Tammy Louise from Shape EZ

My favorite Authentique papers
It's my favorite because of the huge amount of color coordinated two sided 12 x 12 sheets of greens and blues with that lovely Paisley print it's the Loyal Collection by Authentique.

Here are the fabulous design team creations to get you thinking.
We are looking forward to seeing what are your favourites
and what you will make with them.

I have been in love with these Papermania papers since my first pad (I've now been through a few pads in various sizes!).  It is full of my favourite colours: pinks, purples and aquas. Some are glittered and others not, but there is not one design in the pad that I don't love, which is sometimes quite rare.

Samantha
I don't have to think very hard about which papers are my favourites; I LOVE Echo Park there are others I love, but Echo Park are at the top of the pile, there are so many different designs and I have never yet found a page in the blocks that I do not like!

Carol

I've made quite a few things of late with my favourite papers, it has to be the Papermania Parisienne Blues papers. My favourite colour and so love the different patterns. So pretty.

Mojca

I just love Prima papers; the variety of patterns and colours always impresses me.

Sarah

I had a difficult choice, My Mind's Eye or Nitwits? I love them equally for the diverse range of papers available but on this occasion Nitwits suited the template and style I was aiming for.

Wilma

I am totally in love with these Doodlebug papers. Green is my favourite colour and there is plenty of green in it. The colours are so bright and beautiful and make me feel happy.

Ok so now it's your turn!

We hope you will join in our challenge,
show us your style and showcase your Favourite Papers (& why).

Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.

So, onto our 32nd challenge

The sponsor of this challenge is
Lee Holland Illustrations

Please pop by his shop as he has some amazingly cute images.
The prize is 2 digis from his store.

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite Sentiment (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

using Birthday Bear from Lee Holland
My favourite type of card to make is a Christmas card,
so my favourite sentiment had to be Christmas related.
I love the phrase 'winter wishes' but that didn't seem quite right for this image as it wasn't very 'wintery', so I opted for a simple 'Merry Christmas' instead.
Although the image is called Birthday Bear, I thought the hat he was wearing looked like the paper hats that come in crackers, so he seemed to still fit the theme. :0)

Samantha
I have used the same Birthday Bear from Lee Holland as Annette.
I love that he can fit birthday and Christmas, My favourite sentiment by far
has to be this one its from a Hero Arts Clear Stamps set cupcakes
and I have to say that I think it fits so many themes too!

Carol
Using Birthday Bear from Lee Holland
I've gone for 'Just for You', some sentiments are just not for me, I don't do soppy! Most cards I make are for someone I know so I like to think they see a bit of them and me in them, it makes them special!

Mojca
Using Bear with Balloon from Lee HollandMine is Vladka's sentiment "Live your dreams", it really says everything I believe in life.

Sarah
Using Bear with Balloon from Lee Holland
I don't, apparently, have a favourite sentiment!! I trawled through my blog looking for a "wordy" repeat and couldn't actually find one, except Happy Birthday and that is rather by necessity!! So here is something a little different, an inspirational phrase rather than a sentiment.

Wilma
Using Birthday Bear from Lee Holland
Like Sarah I don't think I have a favourite sentiment. Apart from making Christmas cards I make a lot of birthday cards and like to use a "happy birthday" sentiment. And it fits very well with the birthday bear image.
This sentiment is from a stampset of CAS-ual friday, which I like very much.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite Sentiment (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.

Do you prefer images of Animals or People (& why)

Thank you to everyone who entered our Favourite Die challenge.

It usually makes me smile me that each week when we ask to see a 'favourite' something, we often get people enter the challenge several times using different 'favourites' each time.  I admit that sometimes it's hard to choose just one favourite, and I'm guilty of changing my favourites as I find a new addiction!!

In this instance there is no doubt which die is our winner's favourite this week as she entered not once, nor twice, but 3 times, with the same amazing die, each one different, but all three are adorable.

So, without further ado, our worthy winner this week is ....

JennyH

and to prove the owl is her favourite, here are her fabulous entries:
Firstly a masculine version:

Second, a pretty pink version:

And lastly, I think my favourite one with pretty flowers:

Congrats Jenny.
Please email us at AsYouLikeItChallenge@hotmail.co.uk to claim your prize,
and don't forget to grab your *winners* badge below:

and our Top 3 are

Helen
I love Helen's choice of corner die - it's fab for male cards.

Laine
A gorgeous summery card, and lovely colours.

Kat W
Amazing colouring (love her hair!) and lovely pastels. Love it.

Congratulations and please grab our *Top 3* badge to display on your blog:

So, onto our 31st challenge

The sponsor of this challenge is
Joanna Sheen who is offering a
£10 voucher to her fabulous store

This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
either Animals or People (& tell us why you've picked that option).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite choice.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our
Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

As far as crafting style is concerned, it is definitely animals all the way for me, as I love anything cute and fluffy.  I especially love teddy bears, but this little duo from LOTV has recently captured my heart, and I've ended up with quite a few variants of them in different poses!

Samantha
I have to say that choosing my favourite between animals and people
is VERY hard indeed as I LOVE both, but I really love this House Mouse stamp
and I have used it quite a lot over the last couple of months.
It's easy for me to colour and I LOVE that I can make it C&S.

Carol

I love this image called Pippa Longsocks from Sugar Nellie.  She's cute but the icing on the cake was the cheeky looking frog at her feet. Perfect for my granddaughter who has been called the frogster since she was tiny!  Will always remind me of her!

Mojca

I must say I am more an animal fan than a people (haha in real life as well as in stamp world) because they are so cute and furry.  So I used a cute Cottage Cutz Owl die.

Sarah

I LOVE animals, in fact some of my best friends are animals!! You can achieve all manner of cards with animal stamps and images, largely due to their facial expressions, so for that reason ANIMALS for me!!

Suzette
I love Annabel from my Annabel range of stamps.  She is so fun and cheeky.

Wilma
I like them both, but  when making cards mostly I choose animals. They are so cute, funny and versatile. This Tatty Teddy from DoCrafts is one of my favorite stamps and is not complicated to colour :)

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase either Animals or People (& tell us why you've picked that option).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite choice.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.
