This fortnight's challenge theme is to showcase a project using
your Favourite Die (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Here are the beautiful creations made by our Design Team to get your mojo flowing:

After the fiasco of finding one of my favourite dies a couple of weeks ago (see here if you missed all the fun) I realised how much I like it.  Not only is it really pretty in its own right, but the cut outs can also be used to create flowers (especially the largest one), although I've not done that today.

Samantha

I love dies and have quite a few, but I think my favourite by far has to be
one of the first I bought: the spellbinders plain circles. Why?  'Cause cutting perfect circles
without it is near enough impossible, and why waste time trying!

Carol

Quite a tall order to pick my favourite but went for this heart flourish. I so loved the look of it and thought I could not only use it as it was but could add flowers where the heart is, love dies I can adapt.

Mojca

I have to admit that mine are circle and scalloped circle Spellbinders dies ... I know, so simple but you can do so much fun stuff with them :) I made some cute baby cards this time.

Sarah

This was tricky so I spent a while scrolling back through my creations to check out my most used die
(most used = Favourite in my book) and it was my Tonic scalloped circles, great for shaped cards and frames.

Wilma
I really love butterflies, because they mean spring and summer!  And they have beautiful colours and patterns. We have lots of plants and flowers in the garden that attract butterflies. I like these dies of Memory box very much.

So now it's over to you.
We hope you will join in our challenge, show us your style and
showcase your Favourite Die (& why).
You MUST explain WHY it is your favourite.

Good luck, and happy crafting.
Hugs from the AYLI girls.

So, onto our 29th challenge

Lee Holland Illustrations

My name is Lee Holland and I am a freelance illustrator who loves to design and draw cute characters. I've worked in many industries over the years including greeting cards, card making, cross stitch and books to name a few. I love nature and going for walks with my family which provides a lot of inspiration for my work. I decided to open an etsy shop to sell my designs as Digi stamps for crafters to use in their crafting projects. I hope people enjoy using my images as much as I do drawing them :)

When I first started stamping I dabbled with embossing powders, but I really like the quick and easy textured effect you can get with embossing folders.

Using : Girl with Flower

Using : Baby Giraffe

Samantha
using : Girl with Flower
My favourite embossing, I just love how lines
of embossing on a board look crisp and clean.

Carol

Love embossing folders, love the texture and depth they give to your card and there is so many lovely folders out there to be had!

Mojca
I love my embossing folders, the texture gives the card such powerful effect.

Sarah

For texture you can't beat a good old embossing folder.
It adds a certain something to a CAS card.
Using : Girl with Flower

Suzette

Wilma
It's more work, but I love the extra dimension that you get with embossing powder and a heat tool.
Using: Baby Giraffe
